The hotel overall was nice. Need to work on air in the rooms. It never seemed to get to a nice cool temp. And the price for this hotel is much for the type of hotel.

Rooms were very nice. Excellent bedding and mattress. Convenient to dining and shopping. Kind and friendly service. Didn't like the heavy smell of cigarette smoke in the hallway and the smoking and nonsmoking rooms on same floor.

The Hampton Inn in Frederick, Maryland is close to a wide variety of attractions and things to do. The Weinberger Center for the Arts offers drama, music and much more. If you're interested in transportation, there are three individual museums you'll enjoy such as the C&O Canal, the B&O Railroad and the history of horse-drawn carriages in the United States. Frederick fairgrounds are only seven miles from this hotel. You can enjoy hiking, rock climbing, picnicking and sightseeing at Sugarloaf Mountain. Another fun place to go for the entire family is the Enchanted Forest which has been recently refurbished. It's a fairyland-theme park with a carousel, storybook exhibits, petting zoo and much more. You'll also find many excellent restaurants, nightclubs and shops in Frederick. This hotel is close to golf, minor-league baseball, Greenbrier State Park and a ice and sports area.
