The 140-room Courtyard by Marriott Columbia is located near the Columbia Business Park and provides quality accommodation at an affordable price for both the business and leisure traveler. The four-story, non-smoking hotel is convenient to downtown Baltimore, the Baltimore Convention Center, the Ravens football stadium, Baltimore Inner Harbor, and Camden Yards. The property is between Columbia Pike, Route 29 and Interstate 95, making it an easy drive to both the University of Maryland and Washington DC. There are two meeting rooms available for social or business functions. The larger can accommodate 50 guests. Items included with the room rate are local telephone calls, a morning newspaper, parking and coffee available in the lobby 24/7.

Frequent visitors to Columbia say this Courtyard is the best place to stay. The rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious, the rates are reasonable and the employees are both professional and friendly. First time guests are pleased with the location within walking distance of stores and restaurants. There were some minor complaints that the hotel was hard to find. All the guestrooms, and 12 suites, have a large work desk with ergonomic chair and high-speed Internet access, web browser television with cable movie and news channels, pay-per-view movies, refrigerator, pullout sofa bed, alarm clock, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, hairdryer and telephone with voicemail. Video players and games are available for rent.

The hotel has an indoor swimming pool, whirlpool and a fitness center. The Courtyard Café only serves breakfast but there are snacks always available in the lobby. There are numerous restaurants nearby including Aida’s Bistro, Jordan’s Steakhouse, a Cheesecake Factory and a PF Chang’s China Bistro. The 24-hour front desk has safe deposit boxes, a list of restaurants that will deliver to the hotel and information on area events and attractions. Other amenities include a coin-operated laundry, fax and copying services, valet dry-cleaning and vending machines.

From Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) 12 miles: Exit airport on I-195 West. Take I-95 S, follow to Exit 41B (175 west), Exit at Snowden River Parkway. Turn left at the end of exit ramp. Turn right on McGaw Road. Take the next right onto Stanford Boulevard where the hotel is located.
