Weekend stay - posted on 04/07/2007

Stayed here for the long weekend. Pool is a joke if you want to swim, but OK for kids to splash around in. Could use a fan in the bathroom! Tried to use the luggage cart ourselves and told only for valet service. Luckily we only had few suitcases. Needed some supplies brought up and this happened very quickly. Meals at grill expensive....so plan ahead. We got a very good deal online so it was worth the price

This hotel was much too pricey for the room as well as the food. Nothing was great, the experience did not make me want to come back.

Rooms need updated. Service at Orioles grill was mediocre at best. Staff appeared very lackadaisical w/service. Expected more for the price paid.

Website misleading - posted on 12/04/2006

Overall, the hotel was very clean, with friendly, helpful staff. However, the website is very misleading. My room looked nothing like the one pictured; much smaller, not as nice. Amenities listed were non-existent, such as refrigerator in room, bathrobes...Our bathtub could have been cleaner. Pool was nice. Orioles Grille had excellent breakfast buffet; Morton's Steakhouse was wonderful - best steak I've ever eaten. Worth the price. Great location - within walking distance of convention center, Inner Harbor. Nice hotel overall, but don't expect to get what you see on the website.

Disaster - posted on 07/19/2006

Very misleading info on website: Pool?? you mean bathtub. a tiny room with no dressers or place for clothes. bathroom needs update immediately! non-smoking room smelled like ashtray. Orioles restaurant: pitiful service. Couldn't afford the $50 steak at Mortons so can't rate that. stay away!

the pool is tiny like a bathtub, the rooms are loud, airconditioners are loud, toilet runs constantly, check in was a nightmare, price is too high for this hotel

Great experience - posted on 01/06/2006

Great experience! Check-in was prompt and painless. Rooms were immaculate, and tastefully decorated. Room service is pricey, but cost is comparable to similar hotels in the area and the food was excellent. Parking at the hotel carries a $20 per night fee, which was an irritation. The location can't be beat - one block from the Harborplace pavillions and three blocks from Camden Yards stadium.

This hotel was wonderful, the location puts you right next to the convention center with a walking path to the inner harbor shops and restaurants.

Motel quality at exhorbitant prices - posted on 11/28/2005

Worst hotel I have stayed at for a conference hotel. The room phone did not work, hot water kept turning off, pipes kept making loud noises throughout the night, front desk help was rude, restaurant closes earlier than stated time, no video checkout. I am amazed by the prices they charge when they do not offer basic amenities or service.

Needs upgrades - posted on 05/27/2005

A decent hotel, but lacking compared to the other hotels in the Inner Harbor (Most of which are cheaper) Several of the rooms seem to be in need of a renovation. The bed linens could have been cleaner. The lack of in-room Internet is a serious inconvenience for buisness travelers in this day & age.

not happy - posted on 01/28/2005

I arrived tired weary traveler with my 2 cats. I was told that there was no pet policy I arrived at noon and was told there was a new checkin policy and I would have to wait until 3pm because of a convnention( that I was not part of) everyone had to check in at 3 pm. My suggestion- keep driving until you find another hotel!

Great Hotel - posted on 01/26/2005

My husband and I stayed in this hotel over New Years. Great experience. The beds were very comfortable, the rooms were very clean, and the hotel is in walking distance of many nice restaurants and shopping.
