This is a wonderful hotel, pricey but well worth the price. It is close to everything and the staff is great, especially Ronnie and Arnold.
Worth the Money - posted on 08/14/2006
This hotel is not cheap, but it's worth the extra money for the service, comfort of the rooms, and the location on the Inner Harbor. We have visited many times, and come back in spite of the cost, because we leave feeling relaxed and refreshed.
NY Yankees Hotel - posted on 08/08/2006
One of the most expensive hotels in the area. Probably why the NY Yankees stay here when playing the Orioles. So if you're in town for a game, splurge and stay here!
Make sure they guarentee the room you want! - posted on 08/08/2006
I reserved a non-smoking room with 2 queen beds by phone, but upon checking in found only a king-size bed for me and my family to share. When I called the front desk, they told me that was all they had and that my reservations were "reccomendations" and not guarentees. That was never mentioned when I made the reservation, but I later found it on the bottom of my email confirmation. I was told by the bell hop that this occurs quite often. I opted not to stay and only then was I given the room I wanted.
EXCELLENT HOTEL - posted on 07/13/2006
THE ROOM WAS SPACIOUS WITH FEATHER PILLOWS, AND A FEATHER MATTRESS TOPPER, SO LUXURIOUS. THE STAFF WAS VERY POLITE AND HELPFUL AND WE THROUGHLY ENJOYED OUR STAY.
The Renaissance is Wonderful - posted on 05/28/2006
I enjoyed my stay at the Renaissance. The hotel is beautiful with a bonus convenience of being near (less than one hundred feet) to two shopping areas. The staff were friendly and helpful. The Renaissance Guest Room was just right with technology service and other wonderful ammenities. I had a great time even though I had to work!
Too expensive - posted on 05/03/2006
Very nice, but too high. Nothing included for the price. Should include breakfast or something like that for the price.
Good Hotel - posted on 04/26/2006
This hotel was pricey, but a good value nontheless. My biggest complaint was the $26 charge to self park in the hotel lot. Call me old fashioned, but I think a hotel with its own lot shouldn't charge guests to park. And $26 is Manhattan prices
Nice! - posted on 03/11/2006
Comfy beds, nice & clean, pool tends to be crowded. Very close to the major attractions. Staff is very friendly and accomodating. Would return.

I enjoyed the Renaissance Harbor Place hotel but the only down side was that when I went to renew the room for another night the price had gone up
For what they charge... - posted on 01/08/2006
Hotel was pretty, view was nice and service was average at best, but WOW they charge for EVERY LITTLE THING!!! All I am saying is that, for $x a night, you should include free parking & other amenities. Charging $10 a day for hi-speed internet??? Not when a $40 a night hotel gives that for FREE!!! Even the bottle of water in the room read, "Once opened, your bill will be charged $4." It got to the point that I wanted to chain the mini bar shut for fear the kids would eat a $15 candy bar. Ridiculous!!!
Excellent Hotel & Location - posted on 10/11/2005
Very nice accomodations. Great location near the harbor with a shopping Mall in the bottom floors of the building. Great view in the restaurant with nice breakfast. Would stay here again.
Very Pleased - posted on 08/29/2005
If you want a hotel that is right in the midst of all the action on the Harbor, THIS IS THE ONE. The view was unmatched! You can stand at the window and watch the water taxi's, the paddle boats, and the people coming and going. The harbor lights at night were beautiful. As for the rooms, they were immaculate, spacious, and well appointed. The pillow top beds were very comfortable and the room service was on point. The young fellow that brought our breakfast was very nice and professional (he set a nice table). There is also a wonderful pool and an excellent gym. The hotel itself has an inside entrance that opens right out into a mall, and a restaurant of it's own as well. The only qualm I had was the hustle and bustle at check in and the fact that there were only two elevators to the rooms...All in all, a wonderful stay. Will be booking this hotel again!
Disappointed - posted on 06/28/2005
I booked a room with a view of the harbor and got nothing. When I went to my second room, my view was so small that you practically had to put your face on the window in order to see the harbor. Once again, I refused the room; after all, they did charge me extra. Finally, I had a room, with a view, which of course took a good 30 40 minutes of my getaway weekend. The pool was indoors and the smell of chlorine was so intense, I could not stay inside the room for more than 5 minutes. I waited for the only elevators they had for a good 10 minutes every time I used it. The stairways were scary and full of food. There were trays of food that were never picked up in the . I was totally disappointed with this hotel.
Awesome hotel - posted on 06/19/2005
This hotel was one of the nicest we've ever stayed in. The food and view from the restaurant was great! The hotel is connected right to the Gallery mall and it was so nice to be able to go to the food court if we needed a quick & inexpensive meal. It is only feet away from the harbor and all of the main attractions of the area. The staff was excellent and the security staff was great. We plan on staying there again soon. The only thing I would change would be the pool. It was very hot and humid in there, and the hot tub wasn't clean. But the hotel rooms were great!
Absolutely Perfect - posted on 06/01/2005
This hotel is absolutely gorgeous! As soon as we stepped in the lobby we knew we were gonna have a wonderful stay. Check in and out was very fast. Staff was very professional, courteous, and polite. At check out we found we were billed twice for room service and the young lady at the desk took care of it immediately. You can walk out of one of the hotel doors and walk straight into the mall! I couldn't believe it. THE MALL IS CONNECTED TO THE HOTEL:) We are planning to return in July. Highly recommend to all
