I was a little concerned because the only review I could find about this hotel was very negative, "thin walls, noisey, generally awful...." We didn't have any problem with noise (freeway traffic, other guests, TV's..) and our room was much nicer than I expected for the price. Great location.

It was great and it is located in a good retail/restaurant area.

I have no complaints. We had a great visit, nice room.

The hotel was clean, the staff was excellent. The continental breakfast (a pitcher of OJ and a basket of muffins on the coffee table in the hotel lobby) could be improved.

Traveler friendly, convenient to a grocery store and also a gas station. The kitchen has updated appliances, and the beds are so comfy.

The rooms were immaculately clean.

The Townplace Suites by Marriott Portland Scarborough is a crisp, clean brick and white building on a rolling green lawn. The first thing visitors notice upon entering the lobby, is the home-like feeling infused into the decor and the hospitality of the staff. Comfy couches, picture windows and healthy vibrant houseplants give visitors a home-away-from-home feeling. There is coffee and tea in the lobby area, television and your own copy of the daily newspaper. The Towneplace is located in Scarborough, just outside of Portland and steps from the Maine Mall, Maine's largest shopping mall. The Towneplace is just a short drive away from historic Old Port and the downtown Portland area. Also within range are the Nonesuch River Golf Course, the Portland Jetport and the Maine Factory Outlets in Freeport. Such close proximity to diverse attractions, makes the Towneplace Suites Portland Scarborough hotel a perfect base for exploration.

I couldn't find a single negative review of this hotel. Every visitor I came across had nothing but good things to say about the cleanliness of the rooms, the friendliness of the staff and the great value they got for their budget. The TownePlace Suites Portland Scarborough is well suited for overnight stays, long weekends and long term stays. Their kitchenettes are well stocked and clean. The hotel doesn't advertise a grab-and-go continental breakfast, but guests appreciated it nonetheless. Guests also appreciate that the hotel is a little off the beaten path so they were able to enjoy peace & quiet.
