DO NOT STAY HERE - posted on 05/20/2007
We tried calling the hotel prior to arriving and the desk person could not speak english. Our room was old, the paint was peeling and it had a bad smell to it. The bathroom light did not work, the alarm clock buzzed every few minutes even though the alarm was not on. We had a king size bed and two very small pillows. We got very little sleep as there were dogs in the next room barking. We got out of there ASAP and would NEVER stay there again.

Room was very old, paint peeling, moldy. Had a king size bed, only 2 pillows, went to ask for a couple more, clerk was very mean, like i was interupting her tv show. Would never stay there again. Needs alot of work. Toilet didn't flush, Shower was so nasty, we didn't bother with showers went home next morning.
not recommend - posted on 12/28/2006
The clerk when we checked in could not find our reservation and wasn't real enthusiastic about helping us. The phone did not work and even though they advertise HBO, it was just a snowy channel. Continental breakfast was bad coffee and a plastic covered doughnut. The room was not dirty, but was old and smelly. One towel per person. One package of coffee in the room. Very depressing atmosphere, left after 1 night.
Will never stay here again - posted on 11/14/2006
The room was dirty, moldy and the carpet was wet. The bathtub was disgusting. They did not want to give us the rate we booked on hotelsbycity so we had to pay $80 per night instead of the $55 quoted even though I brought the printed copy with me. It was definitely not an $80/night hotel. Nasty.
Could be alot better - posted on 10/18/2006
Staff needs some organization, they didn't seem to know what was going on in their own motel. At least it was clean, but aside from that, i will not be staying there again!
smell, smell, smell - posted on 07/25/2006
The room is not appealling. The walls have exposed circuits, are mildewed. The carpets need to be re-vamped. We left the room because of the odour which clung to everything, and it was a non-smoking room.
Clean and pleasant - posted on 07/18/2006
The rooms were clean and pleasant. The bed was very comfortable and I was pleased with everything. I would stay there again. One of the people at the front desk was from India and I could not understand him at all. Please have people that we can understand when we ask them something.
Beware - posted on 06/13/2006
I have stayed in this particular hotel and the accomodations have become increasingly worse. On this trip, my toilet didn't work and my AC unit shorted out (sparks, electrical smoke and all) at 2:30 AM. I called the front desk for an hour straight with no reponse. The smoke alarm never went off either. The next morning I was moved to a new room in which the lamps didn't work, either because the switches were stripped or the bulbs were burned out, and the shower went cold intermittently. I reccomend finding other accomodations.
Nice Place - posted on 06/13/2006
My family of 4 (2 kids under 5) stayed in a double bed room for one week. It was nice enough for the money. The housekeeping staff was WONDERFUL at keeping the room tidy daily. Would stay again. Good for the money, don't expect the Sheraton or anything. The only thing that was wrong was we were suppose to have a fridge but we did not.
Great for the price - posted on 05/22/2006
I read the other reviews before booking this motel. It was just as described. It was good for the 2 nights I stayed, but I wouldn't pick it for a "vacation" motel. If you want a good room for the price.......stay here.
Overall Average - posted on 04/11/2006
This hotel was very conveniently located -- 3 minutes from the Bangor Int'l Airport. The hotel itself wasn't the greatest -- the room was average, not very nice, but ok for a one or two night stay if you only plan on sleeping there.

The hotel was inexpensive, clean, and comfortable. There are businesses within driving distance but not walking distance. Decent service and accomodating
In Desperate need of renovations - posted on 03/22/2006
We booked the Travelodge over the internet according to the reviews. But the place was not what we expected and beleive me our expectations are not high. The room was very dirty, and I have pictures to prove it. One of the pillowcases had blood on it and the blanket was full of hair. It was discusting. The carpet looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in awhile. There was garbage in behind the dresser. The walls in some places was wet and mildowed. Not a very healthy place to sleep. This place is in desperate need of repairs and an overall cleaning.

The price is definitely right and the room was comfortable and clean. What more do you need to sleep?

I normally pass through Bangor about 12 times a year, and am just looking for a clean room and a roof over my head. This meets those needs just fine.
Average but good - posted on 07/01/2005
I travel all over the world and found this hotel to be very average, but clean rooms. What else do you want for this price. The staff was fine, not great, but good for what I paid for.
Good Price - posted on 05/29/2005
If you're strapped for cash, this would be a good motel if you only need to sleep. There are no restaurants on site. But overall a nice litte spot.
