Thank you for a pleasant stay - posted on 01/21/2006
I was only there for one night. The weather was pretty awful but the staff was so helpful and the room was so comfortable it didn't matter. Thank you for a very pleasant, though short, stay!
bad experience - posted on 03/12/2007
1st room we had was musty-on turning on air conditioner we received and overpowering smell of urine. Staff quickly and pleasantly moved us to a 2nd room which smelled musty but was ok. Bathroom sink and floor cracked. Room walls patched and dirty. I felt as though I didn't want to touch anything. very disappointing as other Holiday Inns have been very good.
Dingy comfort - posted on 11/02/2006
We were in a non-smoking room just off the hallway of smoking rooms and the doors were not enough to stop the smoke penetration. Bathroom was very small and in need of refinishing, particularly the cracked sink. The "comfy" chairs in the room had lost their support and there were places that both the wallpaper and flooring needed to be repaired. The bed was comfortable.

We enjoyed the hotel. No palace, but clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and the restaurant had great blueberry pancakes.

this hotel was great! very clean, friendly staff, outside walking/running path is well groomed. continental breakfast was extensive, with fresh food and good variety. beds were comfortable, inroom fridge was a great convienience!
Mildew Smell - posted on 09/05/2006
Well, The entire place needs to be updated. Most discusting was the overwhelming mildew smell that greated us when we entered the room. Bathroom was extremely small, sink needs replacement. Beds sagged. Carpet felt damp and dirty. Only stay here if you simply need a bed to lay down on.

Hard to get your luggage to the second floor when your handicaped and there is no elevator. Maid staff was very friendly and kept the room clean and tidy.

Went to Bangor for Paul Bunyan Marathon. HI was at start location. HI provided taxi service to-from Bangor airport.

it ia an older motel, and the rooms need queen beds but the staff is really good
Big Disappointment - posted on 02/26/2006
Our room was not in the new building, but in the old building across the driveway. It was clean, but old-- the beds were more uncomfortable than sleeping on the floor, there is no insulation between rooms and you could hear conversations all over the hotel all night. My advice would be to make sure your room is in the new building or stay somewhere else.
Good stay - posted on 02/03/2006
Had an enjoyable stay. Walls are a little thin, but other than that, no complaints.
Needs an update - posted on 12/20/2005
The service received was good. The room we were given, however, was not up to our expectations. It was older and in need of an update - the bathroom. We were not put in the main hotel, but in the back.
A very pleasant stay - posted on 11/11/2005
I only stayed in Bangor for one night. Even though I was just passing through the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. I enjoyed a lovely breakfast and they were terrific with airport transfers and organising taxis etc. as it poured rain the whole time!! Thanks!
Excellent Stay - posted on 07/22/2005
Well worth the room price especially since Kids eat free all day and we received a $20.00 dining coupon per day of our stay. Overall excellent customer service and located in downtown Bangor within minutes to everywhere.
Not happy - posted on 05/05/2005
Room needed renovation, stains on carpet, upholstry. Sink in bathroom was stained dark brown. Room was not sound proof; could hear anyone in the hall and people entering their rooms with the door closed.
