Liked Ramada - posted on 11/01/2006
Didn't have much time to spend in our room, but it was good. Slept great. Bathroom too small; need electrical outlets outside the bathroom to accomadate two people getting ready to leave at the same time. Loved the showerhead. Would absolutely stay again.

I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the room as well as the excellent customer service. I was looking for directions for shopping and I was given a sheet of paper with directions to many locations - excellent work!! Very impressed with this location and will definately stay there again.

Clean, comfortable room for a reasonable price. Exercise room has only treadmills, no TV. Shuttle provided to and from airport.
very rude service from Ramada, Odelin Rd., Bangor Maine. - posted on 09/12/2006
we were treated very poorly by the clerk at the front desk of the Ramada in Bango Maine, Odelin Road.,by the name of Joanie. We reserved through your site at the government rate. When we arrived she informed us that it was just for US government employees. This was never mentioned anywhere when we made the reservation. She informed us in a very rude tone that we were now in the United States of America and that we do not pay taxes there that they do. she also stated that if we did not like the rate that she was proposing that we could find other accomodations. The rate that we got from your site was $70. and she stated that we could have the managers special of $82. I told her that I did not agree because we were already quoted a rate and that was what we wanted. I am a municipal employee with the city of Saint John in New Brunswick and my friend is a provincial employee with the government of New Brunswick. In the end we ageed to pay the $82. and went to our room. In the am when we checked out the bill was for the rate of $70. We still do not know why because when we last spoke to her it was $82. I will not be booking with the Ramada again because of the humiliation and embarrassement that this employee caused us.
Great hotel - posted on 07/26/2006
I stayed at this hotel July 4th weekend and my wife and I had a great time. The rooms are brand new with the most comfortable beds we have ever slept on. We actually asked the front desk clerk where we could buy the exact bed and the manager helped us with that info. They have a great nightclub on site that is a great place to drink and dance. The breakfast was great and the staff was very friendly. This is probably the nicest Ramada we have ever stayed at. We recommend it to all our friends.
business class rooms are much improved - posted on 07/20/2006
I stayed at this hotel the sunday and monday night just before july 4th this year. I stayed in a business class room with a king size bed. The room had been recently refurnished and was what I would consider quite nice. I found the hotel to be very quiet during this time and I would definitely stay there again. Wireless internet access was another reason I would stay there again.
Sufficient - posted on 01/20/2006
Our visit to the Ramada in Bangor was more than sufficient for what we wanted. I did find the restaurant a bit lacking but there were many restaurants in the vicinity to take advantage of. Overall, we would return to this Ramada. Thanks
Canadian Dollar - posted on 08/17/2005
I love the hotel in general. The pool is wonderful and had a great time. My kids enjoyed all aspects of it. The only thing was when we had breakfast in the morning the server did not know how to exchange the Canadian dollar and the exchange rate offered was terrible. With a family of five, money is important.
OK stay - posted on 05/07/2005
In consideration of where it is, I guess its ok, but at $80 per night the bedding could be better, and although the staff was great, the place is using its locaion as an excuse to do things on the cheap. Charge me $100 per night and fix the peeling wallpaper, put in something other than burgers and a haddock sandwich at the bar/rest.. Sorry, but this is a $50 a night hotel.

Ramada Inn in Bangor is a great place to stay. They have a good restaurant and a great lounge that gets converted to a nightclub at 9pm wed-sat. It is great! Plus the hotel just added high speed wireless internet access throughout the hotel, even poolside, FOR FREE! I'm staying at the Ramada next time in Bangor. Here's a secret, ask for a "business class room". They have just been renovated and are worth the extra $$$.
Did we stay at the same hotel? - posted on 10/18/2004
The room we were in this weeeknd was definitely not newly renovated! In fact there was such a bad leak around the window that the wallpaper was peeling off the wall and there was a puddle on the carpet! We were quoted one rate over the phone and charged a different rate at check out- when I asked, the rate was lowered by $10.00, but was still higher than the quoted rate.I give a lot of credit to the housekeeping staff- the room was as clean as could be expectd under the circumstances- but we won't go back.

The new renovations make this hotel almost like new. I visit Bangor four times per year, and I wouldn't stay anywhere else. The friendly staff remembers me every time.
