The Only Trouble I Had Was At Check In Could Not Find Who I Booked And Payed Room In Advance Through Other Than That The Room And Service Were Very Good. Would Stay There Again .

Disappointed in Maine - posted on 11/11/2006

When I arrived I found that there was only 1 bed in the room and it smelled of smoke. I specifically rquested a non smoking room for me and my family 2 adults and 2 children. I checked out after the first night and was stilled charged for two nights even though as soon as I arrived I told them that I would not be staying for the next night. We were all very disappointed with the condition of the room and the very unco-operative staff on duty.

Not what it could be - posted on 09/06/2006

My overall stay was pleasant. The only exception was the bed. The bed was simply too small for a couple. The rates were based on double occupancy, so I booked based on that terminology. I was very happy with service and cleanliness. I was just not as comfortable with the small bed.

Great weekend - posted on 05/03/2006

It was a great hotel to stay. The only encounter we had was the door cards would not work about 80% of the time the first night of our stay, and worked about 50% the next day, especially since someone was kind enough to physically come down to our room door and check it themselves. That was great. Thank you for the great service. We will be back for another stay.

Only one poor experience (loud students next door), and you can't help that! Otherwise the accomodations and staff were nice and helpful! Thanks for a great weekend!

Not so bad! - posted on 05/26/2005

Pretty good hotel for the price. Last we were there, they were putting new carpets in the hallways. Beds comfortable; they have irons, microwave and mini fridge in some rooms. Pool okay in summer. Clean in the rooms. Always thought the rooms should have balconies. About 10 minutes from Bangor Mall. Worth the travel time if $$ are tight. You will be surprised.

Bathroom flood - posted on 05/11/2005

After our toilet overflowed, we asked for room service to unclog the toilet. After plunging the toilet, the man left, leaving behind a flooded bathroom floor. We figured he'd be back to clean up, but no one came. We went down to the desk around 10:45 p.m to see if someone was coming to clean up our floor, or if we could at least have a mop to do it ourselves. Desk person said they'd see what they could do. No one ever came to clean up, we did it ourselves. We left a message for the manager expressing our annoyance, the next morning. No response. I called after arriving back home. The manager said he never got my message, said he'd send a letter of apology, and a coupon towards a future visit. It has been several weeks and I haven't received anything.
