Customer Reviews for Bangor Days Inn Airport

Good value - posted on 08/23/2006

We must have been pretty close to the runways since the airplane sounds were pretty high-decibel. But the good news is that its NOT Logan or LaGuardia - only 4 or 5 planes (that I counted) landing between midnight and a.m. Certainly a good deal for the money.

Very satisfied - posted on 05/24/2006

Rooms were ready on time and very clean. Security in the hall was visible. Price was ok and service at front desk was very good.

Great for Canadian Shoppers on a 'Shop-til-you-drop' weeknend - posted on 01/20/2006

Smokers were welcomed. It is a fact of life that some of your guests will smoke. It is also just a short drive to many, many retail stores. So we enjoyed our 'Shop-til-you-drop' weekend. All in all it was an enjoyable 4 day weekend even though the pool was under construction. I look forward to spring trip and enjoying the new pool.

Terrible Place - posted on 11/04/2006

We stayed at the Days Inn Bangor for one nite only, thankfully. The hotel is very rundown and stinks of cigarette smoke. The room smelled of mould. The beds are so hard you might as well sleep on the floor. The taps on the tub were literally falling off the wall. The continental breakfast was in the hallway on the main floor with past due fruit and very poor basic selection. The crowning glory was when the picture on the wall above the bed fell off narrowly missing our heads. Having said all this I will say that the front desk staff were accomodating and did the best with what they had to work with.I would not recommend that anyone stay at this inn and we will never stay there again ourselves. My recomendation is that you remove it from your booking list. We will be forwarding a complaint to the Days Inn company.

bad experience - posted on 08/01/2006

The room was out-dated. The sink was about to fall off the wall. We found a bloddy tissue under our bed. There are patched in the wall w/ silicone. The pool is very, very small. The staff was very unhelpful. I would not stay here again, even if they gave it to me for free, and I'm cheap!!

Not pleased - posted on 02/17/2006

Overall the hotel was not bad. Unfortunatly, I found the carpets were not only an awful dark red, but they were filthy and stained. I have a 2 year old and I would not stay there again.

Acceptable stay - posted on 01/23/2006

Overall, the experience at the Days Inn was acceptable. The pool was under renovation so did not have the opportunity to enjoy it. The continental breakfast was good; the area to eat breakfast could have been nicer and bigger. The beds were comfortable and the staff was friendly. Would recommend this Inn to anyone who wants a budget hotel room.

This hotel was rundown and not in very good shape. I would not recommend it.

Great stay - posted on 12/22/2005

Except for no pool at the time of our visit, it was certainly enjoyable. The fact that we could have a smoking room was our priority as it was a very cold weekend and we did not have to stand outside.

Not happy! - posted on 11/22/2005

Our room was dirty - hair in bathtub, dirty sock in the corner, the phone did not have a cord, the remote did not work, the room stunk of cat urine, and the sheets would not stay on the bed. The cot sheets were worn thin and you could almost see through them. We were compensated but were very, very disappointed in this hotel and would not book there again.

Who let the cat out? - posted on 11/07/2005

We travel all over the North East wiht our dogs and this was the worst we've stayed in! The room smelled, TV had 1 snowy channel, NO cold water in the sink, rack to hang cloths was out of the wall on one side, burn holes in the floor. And to top it off, when we returned on Saturday night, the maids had cleaned the room but did not leave us any towels! Very unhappy with our stay. My dog deserves BETTER than that!

day motor inn bangor - posted on 09/26/2005

was not advised at time of booking that the pool was under con struction and presently did not exsist. Room had extremely dirty carpets. The walls were crumbling under the wall paper and rust from the steel support beams was seeping through the old paint job. Was booked into a smoking room when specified non. Would not stay there again.

A decent budget hotel - posted on 06/16/2005

Should not have nonsmoking rooms and smoking rooms side by side.

Good breakfast - posted on 12/08/2004

Our stay was average; pool area was very good; hallways were dirty. The side door was unlocked at night time making the security questionable. Continental breakfast was very good.

Adequate stay - posted on 11/23/2004

Our stay was adequate. . The beds are not very comfortable and I do not like the sink located in the same area as the beds. The toilet and shower where seperate form the sink! Not very private!
