The main reason I stayed at this hotel was because my daughter was shipping out for the army and this was where they were staying. I wanted to be close to her. On future trips to Shreveport I will probably not stay at this hotel unless the price comes down. The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

The staff was friendly and close by restaurants.

For the price it was not very fancy- plain and ordinary.

The 105-room Fairfield Inn by Marriott Shreveport provides budget priced accommodation for both the business and leisure traveler and is located close to I-20. The three-story non-smoking hotel is a short drive from the American Rose Center, which boasts over 500 different types of roses. Items included in the room rate are a hot breakfast buffet, with the Jimmy Dean Breakfast Sandwich, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, parking and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. The property is three miles from the Huntington Golf Course and 20 miles from the Champion Links. Area landmarks and attractions include the Isle of Capri Riverboat Casino, the Horseshoe Riverboat Casino, Louisiana Downs Horse Racing, the Sci-Port Discovery Center and the Libbey glass works factory outlet.

Former visitors to this inn say it offers great value, has a friendly atmosphere and the breakfast area make a good place to enjoy coffee with friends during the day. The hotel has been renovated so any complaints about outdated rooms will stop. Couples say the hotel is ideal for an inexpensive weekend getaway provided you do not lose too much money at one of Shreveports riverboat casinos. For those who win there is good shopping available along the Louisiana Boardwalk.
