The hotel is right across from the Riverwalk mall but a bit of a hike to the French Quarter. The hotel itself is very clean and beautifully decorated and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Having a Starbucks inside the hotel was very nice.

Very nice decor and the Starbuck inside were great.

Didn't like the mandatory valet parking.

The 320-room Marriott Convention Center New Orleans is located in the warehouse-arts district on the riverfront across the street from the Convention Center and Port of New Orleans. The 14-story, non-smoking property is a full service hotel catering to the upmarket business and leisure traveler. The property is close to the French Quarter, Harrah's Casino, and the city s finest shopping and dining establishments. The hotel, housed in a former cotton mill dating from the mid-1800's, has 18 meeting rooms for social and business functions. The largest can accommodate 800 guests. Area attractions and landmarks include seven golf courses, Aquarium of the Americas, Oak Alley Plantation, Audubon Zoo, Riverwalk Market Place and the Natchez Steamboat.

This is a great location for the convention center but there are hotels closer to the French Quarter. The property gets good reviews for its efficient team of workers, prompt room service and spacious rooms. Tips from previous visitors: There is free parking on the streets over the weekend thus saving the $28 daily charge. You can also save on the hotels cost for Internet service by using free Internet access called feather-net available throughout the French Quarter.
