About the Marriott Convention Center New Orleans

The 320-room Marriott Convention Center New Orleans is located in the warehouse-arts district on the riverfront across the street from the Convention Center and Port of New Orleans. The 14-story, non-smoking property is a full service hotel catering to the upmarket business and leisure traveler. The property is close to the French Quarter, Harrah's Casino, and the city s finest shopping and dining establishments. The hotel, housed in a former cotton mill dating from the mid-1800's, has 18 meeting rooms for social and business functions. The largest can accommodate 800 guests. Area attractions and landmarks include seven golf courses, Aquarium of the Americas, Oak Alley Plantation, Audubon Zoo, Riverwalk Market Place and the Natchez Steamboat.

This is a great location for the convention center but there are hotels closer to the French Quarter. The property gets good reviews for its efficient team of workers, prompt room service and spacious rooms. All the guestrooms, and 11 suites, have a work desk with ergonomic chair and high-speed Internet access, two-line telephone with voicemail and speakerphone, coffee and tea making facilities, flat screen televisions with cable movie channels, pay-per-view movies, pullout sofa bed, alarm clock, bathrobes and a hairdryer.

From New Orleans Airport (MSY) 14 miles: Take I-10 East to Downtown, exit Poydras Street. Follow Poydras Street. Go straight for one mile. Turn right on to Convention Center Boulevard. The hotel will be your right.
