Disappointed - posted on 04/02/2007
This is not an original Doubletree Hotel. Bathroom extremely small compared to other hotels at same price. Coke machines didn't work, didn't get a refund as requested. Heard music on 11th floor from a dance on the 16th floor. Nothing like I expected for a Doubletree.

The ladies were nice and cordial, but the male employees don't seem to like their jobs much and convey that to the guests. They have a elderly gentlemen that helps with your luggage, he could only carry one hanger/tux at a time and ended up dumping my formal on the ground, but replied," it eas only on the floor, it didn't get soiled. I was furious. We took ALL of our luggage from him and brought it up ourselves.
Sugar Bowl Stay - posted on 01/06/2007
Stayed here 2 nights during the Sugar Bowl. Bed was very comfortable and gave a good night's sleep. The staff was not helpful, not knowledgeable and the valet staff was totally inept. Only one chair in the room and that was a desk chair. Bed couldn't make up for staff. Won't stay here again.

The room was basic with king size bed. Good view. Room service was fast with good food.. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great location to everything around Jackson Square and riverfront!
Wonderful experience during difficult times - posted on 02/28/2006
I was here during Mardi Gras when services were limited due to lack of staff and an abundance of displaced residents and FEMA workers. Overall great experience. Thanks to mgr and staff for accomodating us during a difficult time
Needs updating - posted on 04/12/2005
Rooms & common areas are tired and need updating. Staff was not overly friendly. Disappointing for a Hilton property. Location is the best feature of this hotel.
Satisfactory 1st Stay. - posted on 03/08/2005
Appears to be older property and rooms need upgrading, including bed/pillows. Friendly staff, Concierge was VERY helpful. Enjoyed stay due to casino and walking distance to FQtr and Riverwalk and Jackson Square.

I was very impressed with the quality of your people that worked at your hotel. Everybody was super-nice and very friendly. You also happened to be the least expensive hotel for the weekend that we booked. Pretty impressive considering the quality of service! GREAT JOB!!
