I've stayed here twice and would never stay anywhere else in the Big Easy. The staff is very friendly and eager to please, and the rooms are large and comfortable. Ask for one that has a balcony overlooking the pool! The beautiful outdoor courtyard has a large heated pool and spa. It is a two block walk to Riverwalk, the streetcar that takes you to the French Quarter, and the convention center. There are dozens of restaurants in the area and the neighborhood seems very safe at all times of day and night. A great place to stay!

The GOOD: The Location downtown is SUPER if you want to be by River Walk Mall and Convetion Center. You can park your car or SUV on property and there is a gate, so security is a plus. You can also get a good hot breakfast. The BAD: Noisey Night Club across the street on Mall side of Hotel. It's New Orleans! The UGLY: Beds are cheap!

I was in New Orleans for a business trip and was told that The Courtyard is a very comfortable place to stay. When I arrived in the room the drapes, carpet and chair were wet. I assumed whomever was in the room prior to me must have been in the pool and sat on the chair. The lady at the front desk told me that everything had just been cleand. Cleaning is wonderful but I wish I had a room that was dry. Breakfast was good. Get the breakfast lovers package however because it isn't free with the room it can be pricey. I would not stay here again unless I absolutely had to.

I'm a Marriott Rewards Gold Member. I expect the same quality of rooms, decor and service at all Marriott brand hotels. This was the worst Courtyard I have ever stayed at.
