I just can't say enough about the great service they provided. They did everything and more than I could have dreamed of.

Overall it's a very nice hotel. It's defining characteristic is its style. Very upscale and modern. Service was good. Didn't have wireless in the room. Otherwise no major flaws.

The W Hotel is positioned perfectly right between the Garden District and French Quarter. It's a brief walk, and believe me, after you eat in the French Quarter you'll want to take a walk. The rooms were beautiful, very moden and sleek. Staff were very helpful, and even had loaner umbrellas, great music to borrow, etc. - the trip was great because the hotel was great.

I cant believe how wonderful this hotel was. I did not have very big expectation levels of the hotels in New Orleans since the Hurricane. But, this hotel, blew me away. I will not stay anywhere else and it was worth every single penny!

Top notch hotel affected by workers exodus from NO. Slowly regaining its previous stature as a top hotel. Friendly staff that aims to please!

Trendy and stylish. Promo pics are exactly what you get. Service is attentive, but not overbearing. Walls are thin and the sound travels well between the rooms. Crowd is largely twentysomething and loud. $32 for valet is outragous.
Talk about Customer Service... - posted on 08/21/2005
This is probably in my top 5 of hotels to stay in. We got lost on the way into New Orleans, and the concierge directed us in by staying on the phone until we arrived at the hotel. We encountered the best customer service I've ever received. Things are a little pricey, but it's well worth it. I won't stay anywhere else when I'm in New Orleans!

This was my 3rd visit to the W hotel in New Orleans. On each occasion the service has been perfect and the hotel is always looking sharp. It?s perfectly located near high-end shops and the convention center.

I'd stayed here in the past and it had been my favorite hotel. The ambience is great, and the rooms are nice. However, it all fell apart on the last trip -- the room wasn't ready and they put us in another, lesser hotel. Then they did nothing to make up for the inconvenience. Zoe Bistrot is nice, as is the gym and pool (good for New Orleans where often hotels don't offer a gym). The rooms have nice amenities. The service STINKS.

The hotel was at a great location (next to the casino and 2 blocks from the riverwalk) but it has no arcade or other activities for children. Also, the bathrooms are small.

For our first Mardi Gras experience I couldn't have asked for more. We were a little skeptical based on the couple of poor reviews we read here, but have concluded they must have been crazy! Everything about the hotel is absolutely beautiful and you won't find a nicer staff anywhere either. It's nicely located, a few blocks from the the french quarter, across the street from Harrahs Casino, and there was an upscale mall (with a starbucks) only a block away. If we make it back next year, we won't stay anywhere else.

Velour loungers disgusting(stained), can hear everything that is going on in next room, way over rated, no coffee pot refrigerator broke. disrespectful girl at front counter. Bell hop and concierge was very helpful.
