About the W New Orleans

The W New Orleans is a Starwood Preferred property and you will notice right away that it is not a typical chain hotel. Entering the foyer is like entering a chic living room rather than a lobby. Think sophisticated and serene. Experience The W with all five senses as you sink into comfy armchairs soothed by aromatherapy candles and soft sounds. There’s a bowl of fresh fruit at hand and plenty of newspapers, books and games to enjoy. Mix business with pleasure with complimentary wireless Internet access in public areas and use of a laptop if you don’t have your own. Think great location. Everything you want to experience in New Orleans is close by. The busy financial district is right outside the door. Harrah’s Casino and Riverwalk are a stone’s throw away and it’s only a few blocks over to the French Quarter.(Note: There is another W Hotel in the French Quarter.)

This hotel is a welcome refuge from the frenzied activity of New Orleans. It is close enough to the action, but you are not stuck with noisy Bourbon Street crowds. Be sure to check out the cool pool! There’s only one problem with the accommodations at The W - you may never want to leave your room. All 423 guestrooms feature all the comforts of home and more. Enter a haven of dark woods and walls complemented by splashes of vibrant color and plantation shutters. There are also fresh flowers, munchies, a mini-bar, CD/DVD players with a variety of entertainment choices and a large 27” television with Internet access. Luxury bedding includes Egyptian cotton linens and a “pillow menu.” Marble baths feature a selection of Bliss bath products and fluffy robes. Choose from a range of room categories from “wonderful to WOW.”

GENERAL DIRECTIONS TO THE HOTEL

From East: Take Interstate 10 West to the Canal Street/Superdome Exit. Turn right on Canal Street and proceed for 10 blocks. Make a right on Tchoupitoulas Street. Go 2 blocks and then make a left on Poydras Street. Go for one block and make a right on South Peters. The hotel will be on the corner

From West: Take I-10 East to the Poydras Street/Superdome Exit. Continue on Poydras Street for approximately 12 blocks. The hotel is on the left at the corner of South Peters Street and Poydras Street.
