The Shoneys Inn New Orleans claims to be a comfortable stay at an exceptional value, I would have to disagree. There have been numerous reports to the Shoneys corporate office about different problems with the staff, from visitors returning to their rooms to find the maid staff going through their bags to having credit cards charged after already paying in cash. Not to mention the cleanliness and safety of the area come into question. And even the corporate office has had some issues in returning phone calls. In the Shoneys Inns defense this is not the only New Orleans hotel to have these types of reports about the staff and so one is left to wonder if this problem is in any way related to the flooding. Regardless of the cause to these problems though it may be unwise to choose the Shoney Inn New Orleans, if for no other reason you can find a hotel in the French Quarter for the same price.
