We were very pleased with our stay at the Fairfield Inn Lafayette. The beds were very comfortable -- each with four pillows! The room was spotless. The bathroom was especially clean. On arrival, the attendant at the desk had me checked in and ready to go in less than two minutes. There's a small indoor pool and Jacuzzi -- if I'd realized that, I would have brought my suit. Breakfast was great, with egg-cheese-and-bacon biscuits, chocolate milk, oatmeal, grits, hard boiled eggs, coffee, apple and orange juice, yogurt, lots of fresh fruit, fresh Danishes, bagels, toast, and condiments -- thought the Belgian waffle maker was broken. The staff even checked in on us in the afternoon to make sure our room had been made correctly and that we had enough towels. We were extremely pleased.

The expanded continental breakfast was tops.

Louisiana highways are insane.
