Alice

There was a fire alarm at 1am and the entire hotel was forced to evacuate. The alarms were frightening and we ended up sitting on the curb for an hour in our pajamas. It was set off by some of the loud partiers that were all over the hotel. There was no apology for the interruption and we did not get the sleep we deserved.

The staff was friendly and respectful. The hotel was close to dining, shopping, etc.

It was not luxurious as most 3 star hotels. the room was average. NO view

I really enjoyed my stay. I was extremely impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel and the friend staff - I feel this has been the nicest place with the friendless people I have ever stayed in my life.

The 300-room Marriott Baton Rouge provides luxury accommodation for the upmarket leisure and business traveler. The 21-story, non-smoking hotel is close to the citys two Interstates I-10 and I-12 and is a 15 minute ride from the Baton Rouge Airport. The full-service hotel has 18 meeting rooms for social or business functions. The largest can accommodate 900 guests. Items included with the room rate are parking, local telephone calls, a morning newspaper and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. The stores, restaurants and entertainment venues of Baton Rouge are within walking distance of the hotel. The property is within easy driving distance of several golf courses, the Louisiana State Capitol, Friends of Baton Rouge Zoo, Louisiana State University and the Blue Bayou Water Park.

Regular visitors to Baton Rouge say this Marriott is one of the best places to stay in the city. The rates are competitive, the rooms are well equipped and the employees and friendly and efficient. Those who spent a little more for a room on one of the four concierge levels said the added benefit of drinks and snacks was worth the additional charge. The hotel gets many repeat clients, which is always a great recommendation.
