Pleasant staff, very nice clean rooms, great continental+ breakfast, overall pleasant experience. I would definitely stay here again.

Advertised "continental" breakfast but was more, including hot food items pancakes, eggs, gravy, bacon, sausage, excellent - pleasant surprise.

The pool was kind of small and I thought there was supposed to be a gym/exercise room but they did not have one.

The pet-friendly 50-room Holiday Inn Express Morehead is located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in the Daniel Boone National Forest and provides quality affordable accommodation for both the business and leisure traveler. Items included with the room rate at this two-story hotel are a hot breakfast buffet, wired and wireless high-speed Internet access, in-room coffee, a morning newspaper and parking. The hotel is located off I-64 at exit 137 just a mile from Morehead State University. The property is a short drive from the 18-hole Eagle Trace Golf Course and the nine-hole Sheltowee Trail Golf Course. Other area attractions include hiking, biking, swimming and boating on Morehead and Cave Run Lake and the Kentucky Folk Art Center which is dedicated to the skills of unschooled artisans.

This is one of the best places to stay in Morehead. That is the view of many visitors to this Kentucky town who have stayed at this Holiday Inn Express and enjoyed comfortable and well equipped rooms. The cheerful crew of employees here not only provides excellent service but has good ideas about the area sightseeing and provides helpful hints about nearby shopping and dining. Many guests were impressed by the complimentary breakfast and said they will return to this hotel on future visits to the area.
