The pet-friendly Residence Inn by Marriott Louisville Northeast provides inexpensive extended-stay accommodation for both the business traveler and families on vacation. The four-story, non-smoking hotel has 102 one and two bedroom suites with fully equipped kitchens and separate living and sleeping areas. Items included with the room rate are high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, a hot breakfast buffet, a manager’s reception on midweek evenings, parking and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. There is one meeting room available for business or social functions that can accommodate 20 guests. The hotel is located northeast of downtown Louisville, near I-265 and Westport Road. Nearby landmarks and attractions include five golf courses, Churchill Downs, home of the Kentucky Derby, E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park, Louisville Slugger Museum, Louisville Zoo, Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom and the Railway Museum.

Many visitors to Louisville said this hotel made an ideal base for touring the area. They were impressed with the fully equipped kitchens and said enjoying a homemade meal around the fireplace was a great way to end a day of sightseeing. All the suites have a fireplace and a kitchen with conventional oven and microwave oven, stovetop, refrigerator with icemaker, dishwasher, coffeemaker, toaster and a full set of cutlery and crockery. Other amenities include a work desk with high-speed Internet access, dual-line telephone with voicemail, pullout sofa bed, Internet browser television with cable news and movie channels, pay-per-view movies, hairdryer and an iron and ironing board.

From Louisville International Airport (SDF) 9.2 miles: Take I-264 East to 71 North. Stay on 71 North to I-265. Get off on exit 9A. Look for Westport / Chamberlain exit. Turn right at the bottom of the ramp onto Westport Road. At the second set of traffic lights turn right on to Springhurst Commons Drive. The hotel is at the bottom of the hill on the left.
