The 108 all-suites Springhill Suites Lexington Downtown is equally suited to the business traveler or families on vacation. The four-story, non-smoking hotel is minutes from downtown and close to the University of Kentucky. This is the only hotel in Kentucky with suites overlooking the Red Mile Harness Race Track. Items included with the room rate are high-speed Internet access, a hot breakfast buffet, two morning newspapers – the Wall Street Journal and USA Today – local telephone calls, parking and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. The hotel has one meeting room for social or business functions that can accommodate 100 guests. It is a short drive to two golf courses, and the property is close to shopping at the Civic Center and Lexington Center.

This Marriott property gets great reviews from those who have stayed here. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The rates are reasonable and the staff extremely helpful and friendly. The ladies liked the shopping nearby and the men were close to the Kentucky Race Track and the Red Mile Harness Track. It was a win, win situation. The suites come with a choice of one king size bed or two queen beds. Amenities include a wet bar, refrigerator, toaster, microwave oven, work desk with high-speed Internet access, two-line telephone with voicemail and speakerphone, 27-inch television with cable news and movie channels, CD player, pullout sofa bed, alarm clock, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board and a hairdryer.

This hotel has an indoor swimming pool, whirlpool and exercise room. The complimentary breakfast is the only meal served here. There are numerous restaurants nearby including a Waffle House, Starbucks Coffee, Malone’s and a Ruby Tuesdays.
