Overall, we were very pleased with the hotel. It was very family friendly. We have 4 children and they accommodated us very well. The pool was small, but nice. Our only complaint was that the mattresses were not very comfortable. The hotel sits immediately next to a horse track and its barns! We were relieved that it wasn't racing season.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

The beds were uncomfortable.

The 108 all-suites Springhill Suites Lexington Downtown is equally suited to the business traveler or families on vacation. The four-story, non-smoking hotel is minutes from downtown and close to the University of Kentucky. This is the only hotel in Kentucky with suites overlooking the Red Mile Harness Race Track. Items included with the room rate are high-speed Internet access, a hot breakfast buffet, two morning newspapers the Wall Street Journal and USA Today local telephone calls, parking and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. The hotel has one meeting room for social or business functions that can accommodate 100 guests. It is a short drive to two golf courses, and the property is close to shopping at the Civic Center and Lexington Center.

This Marriott property gets great reviews from those who have stayed here. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The rates are reasonable and the staff extremely helpful and friendly. The ladies liked the shopping nearby and the men were close to the Kentucky Race Track and the Red Mile Harness Track. It was a win, win situation. Most guests said they planned to return to this property on future visits to the area and had no hesitation in recommending it to others.
