Newly completed, state-of-art Marriott facility. Staff is everything you appreciate with a good flag. Good restaurant, decent selections, reasonably priced. Liked the reading room off the lobby. Nice walkway at the east side of the site with a prairie grass & Iowa River feel - want to see it in the summer.

The Marriott was a wonderful place to stay, especially if you were just passing through the Coralville/Iowa City area. It is not very well situated if you are looking to go out on the town, but it is right off the interstate which is great for travellers. There was an $8 parking fee for their structure, which is ridiculous since it's in the middle of Iowa. Nobody pays for parking in Iowa.

The 286-room Marriott Coralville Hotel and Conference Center is located along the Iowa River and provides affordable quality accommodation equally suited to the business traveler or families on vacation. The eight-story, non-smoking hotel is adjacent to the University of Iowa and within easy driving distance of Cedar Rapids and Des Moines. Items included with the room rate are high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, in-room tea and coffee and a morning newspaper. The hotel has 60,000 square feet of event space, including a 30,000 square-foot exhibit hall. Area landmarks and attractions include two golf courses, the Amana Colonies, Carver-Hawkeye Arena, Kinnick Stadium, the University Of Iowa hospital and clinics, the Veterans Administration Hospital, Coralville Lake Recreation Area, the Hoover Presidential Library, Old Capitol Museum, Iowa Firefighters Memorial and shopping at Coral Ridge Mall.

Guests at this Marriott were much impressed by the spacious, well decorated public areas with local artwork and the Iowa Writer's Library. Those attending functions said the facilities were modern and the events were handled in a very professional manner. The employees got good reviews for being efficient and helpful and many clients said they would stay here again and would recommend the property to others.
