The pet-friendly Residence Inn by Marriott Downtown on the Canal has 134 suites designed for the longer-stay business traveler or families on vacation. The five-story, non-smoking hotel is located on the canal walk in downtown Indianapolis, close to I-65. Items included with the room rate are a hot breakfast buffet, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, a manager’s reception and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. Nearby attractions include Circle Centre Mall, the Indiana Convention Center, Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the Indianapolis Zoo. There is meeting space available for 50 guests. The property is five miles from the Brickyard Crossing Golf Course. Corporate offices close to the property include One America, Eli Lilly and Clarian.

Location, location, location. That is what attracts travelers to this Residence Inn, which is within walking distance of many attractions including the convention center and football stadium. There were some complaints that this is an older property and not the best Residence Inn. However, there were good reviews about the friendly and efficient staff.
