Love the Hyatt. Disappointed in the construction but know it will be an improvement when completed. - posted on 05/14/2007
Enjoyed my stay but would have liked it better if the construction had been completed. Hard to get around in the entrance and no beautiful lobby area yet but when completed should be an improvement.
Good but . . . - posted on 05/02/2007
The Hyatt is still under a much-needed renovation project, so a little confusion is expected. Staff was very helpful throughout our stay. My biggest peeve is being forced to pay an internet usage charge, and more appalling, that they charge to use the net on their Business Center computers (i.e., run downstairs, locate the center, key in, then find that there is a charge and you don't have your wallet with you - VERY frustrating!).

The hotel has a very pleasent atomosphere. It is within walking distance of sports, concert and many shopping venues. The parking arrangements leave alot to be desired, but that is my only minor compaint.
GREAT VALUE - posted on 04/08/2007
Due to the lobby construction--the rates are down right now. The value is beyond 5 stars if you can manage seeing past the construction--The Room with Queen was posh!! and the downtown location is Superior!!

Rooms were great and staff was very helpful. Sunday Buffet very limited on choices and food was cold when should have been hot and fruit was warm. The eagle nest was very limited on menu items. If you are not looking for a hotel that includes variety in restaurants and food selections this is a great hotel.
Monday Night Football - posted on 12/22/2006
We were there for a Monday Night Football game. Fast & efficient check-in and very clean rooms. They could have used a little more help in the bar that night. The location next to the stadium was perfect
Great Location - posted on 04/20/2006
The best thing about the Hyatt in downtown Indianapolis is definitely its' location. It's connected to a great mall with movie theater, and there are tons of great restaurants within walking distance. You can also walk to sporting events, the zoo, museums, etc. Plus, we got a great price and the rooms were very nice. Great service overall, as well.

In for SEMA show. Called the day of check in after a night in a bad hotel. Valet parking for a small price. Quiet, clean and very polite. Walk to any great downtown place. Great room rates!
Winter Fun at the Hyatt - posted on 01/04/2006
My boyfriend and I were in town to visit friends and stayed at the Hyatt. Everything was top-notch. Checking in was easy, the staff was reliable, courteous and informed, and the location was fabulous. The room was the perfect size and was clean, decorated nicely and just a great space. We would go back in a minute!
average stay - posted on 12/02/2005
we were forced to change rooms at 2 o' clock in the morning due to the noise produced by the equipment hanging outside of our window. However, the Hotel did address it quickly and offer us a different room, but nothing else to compensate us.

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. There were 4 big events going on in downtown Indianapolis and the hotel was right in the middle of it all. The staff was on top of everything - including the long lines at the elevators. I had problems with other guests being rude because of the elevators but the staff was there to make sure nothing got out of hand. The rude guests weren't drunks but christians that were in town for a revival. Just goes to show you it takes all kinds. It isn't always the hotel's fault. I would HIGHLY recommend staying at this hotel and I plan on staying there again.
better then average - posted on 08/05/2005
I travel a lot and i mean a lot the staff was outstanding. The hotel is working on the elevators but the rooms and staff make up for it.
Great Hotel - posted on 07/05/2005
We had a great stay. The Eagles Nest Restaurant is top notch. Hotel just renovated, so the rooms were first class. They are updating their elevators, so service was slow but you can use the staff elevators. I'm in DWTWN INDY a lot... this is the best hotel.

We had to wait 30 mins to get on a crowded elevator with a bunch of drunks every time we wanted to leave the hotel. Room service was over-prices, and they only had stairs on 3 floors; the rest were stairwells.
