The 82-room Courtyard by Marriott Hammond is located in the Chicagoland-Northwest Indiana area, minutes from Indiana's Lake Shore and steel mills. The three-story, non-smoking hotel is 25 minutes from Chicago's Loop and close to four riverboat casinos, the Star Plaza Theatre and seven golf courses. The property has four meeting rooms for business and social functions. The largest can accommodate 80 people. Important corporate offices near the hotel include Alverno, Arcelor Mittal Steel, BP Amoco, Cargill, Ford, IBM, Lear, US Steel and Unilever. All the guestrooms, and three suites, have a work desk with high-speed Internet access, cable television with movie channels and pay-per-view movies, alarm clock, refrigerator, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, coffee and tea making facilities and two-line telephone with voicemail and speakerphone.
