Indiana State Guide

Indiana is the land of the Hoosiers. Although the origin of this name isn’t too clear, it has been used to describe those who live in Indiana since the 1830s. What do Hoosiers do in Indiana? They visit racetracks, museums, study hard and enjoy the scenery. Wherever you go in Indiana, you’ll love what you see.

Map of Indiana

Considering Indiana is home to the legendary Johnny Appleseed it should come as no surprise that this entire state is filled with parks and gardens. Indiana is also home to some beautifully restored architecture. Some of the best ‘structures’ worth visiting actually float on the water. Try your luck on the riverboat casinos and get ready to spend your hard won money. Where could you spend some of that cash? There are always a plethora of shops and boutiques worth visiting. Then there are the galleries. Wander through and you might just pick something unique to remind you of your fantastic trip.

Indiana offers something for every visitor. Sports fans will love coming here. The Indy 500 and the Brickyard 400 are two of the largest racecar events in the sport. This state is also home to the NBA Pacers and NFL Colts. Non-sport enthusiasts will enjoy catching an entertaining show at the impressive RCA Dome. Those persons with well established IQs will love studying at the University of Notre Dame. This establishment also has a fantastic football team, proudly known as the Fighting Irish, to help students forget about their impending tests and exams.

Whether you’re visiting Indiana to learn, have fun or simply relax, this state has a place that’s perfect for you.
