The pet-friendly Residence Inn by Marriott Chicago Schaumburg comprises 125 one and two-bedroom suites equally suitable for the extended stay business traveler or families on vacation. The five-story, non-smoking hotel is located northwest of downtown Chicago and close to the 300-store Woodfield Mall, IKEA, Arlington Park Racecourse and the Medieval Times Dinner and Theater. Items included with the room rate are high-speed Internet access, a hot breakfast buffet, a manager’s reception on Monday through Thursday evenings, local telephone calls, a morning newspaper, parking and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. There is one room available for social or business functions that can accommodate 30 guests. Area landmarks and attractions include three golf courses, Sears Arena, the Schaumburg Convention Center, Allstate Arena, home of the Chicago Wolves and the Grand Victoria Riverboat Casino.

Families who stayed in the two-room suites at this Residence Inn said they were spacious, reasonably priced and ideal for an extended stay. The kitchens were well equipped and preparing home-cooked meals was made easier by utilizing the hotel’s grocery shopping service. Many guests liked the location, close to the expressway, but far enough away to avoid the noise. All the suites have a kitchen with conventional oven and microwave oven, stovetop, refrigerator with icemaker, dishwasher, coffeemaker and a full set of cutlery and crockery. Other amenities include a fireplace, work desk with high-speed Internet access, two-line telephone with voicemail, pullout sofa bed, Internet browser television with cable news and movie channels and pay-per-view movies, hairdryer and an iron and ironing board.
