The Baymont Inn & Suites Peoria is a value-priced hotel that offers reasonably priced rooms and a more-than-adequate complimentary breakfast. Although it lacks upscale amenities and decor, its location is extremely convenient to several colleges and universities, including Bradley University. Northwoods Mall, a large enclosed mall, is within easy walking distance and there is easy on-off access to I-74. A real strength of the hotel is its staff, who are extremely friendly and helpful. Because of the good service and value, many guests are regulars who stay for several days at a time while in Peoria on business. The hotel provides free high-speed wireless internet access. The lobby is comfortably furnished and has an computer with a printer for use by the guests. First and second floor rooms have exterior access and both smoking and nonsmoking rooms are available. In addition, there are handicap accessible rooms. Some rooms have refrigerators and microwaves.

I would recommend this hotel to someone who is looking for a comfortable place to stay near to Peoria's universities, western suburban business headquarters or who wants easy access to I-74. It is safe, clean and near restaurants, shopping and a movie theater. With its free high-speed internet access and complimentary breakfast, the Baymont Peoria provides value for the cost of the room. However, a potential guest should clearly understand that this is value-priced chain! Therefore, it does not have all the in-room amenities and ambiance of more upscale chains or boutique hotels. Baymont Inn & Suites Peoria Accommodations

The Baymont is a budget chain and the decor and amenities reflect that. The rooms are clean, but not spacious. The bathroom fixtures are basic, but clean and modern. Shampoo and conditioner are supplied, as well as a hair-dryer. Each room has a desk that provides ample work space and an armchair. Plus, there is free high-speed internet access and free local calls. TV channels are limited, although there are in-room movies. Some upgraded rooms have refrigerators and microwaves.

Amenities offered

The complimentary breakfast buffet includes Belgian waffles, eggs, yogurt and a variety of fresh fruit in addition to the standard breakfast muffins and cereal. Coffee is available in the lobby 24 hours a day, with fresh-baked cookies served from afternoon to mid-evening. The outdoor pool is small and adjoins the parking lot, but those traveling with children should find it more than adequate for them to play, while teenagers can head over to nearby Northwoods mall.
