We were very glad we chose this hotel. the staff was nice and the rooms were quiet and clean. Breakfast was also very good, wide variety of items to choose from.

Had plenty of room and had a fridge and microwave.

Nice hotel at a fair price, very convenient to the Interstates. However, it was noisy, with teenagers hanging out in the stairwells. It was clean, but there was a strange odor in the room.

Very convenient to I-57 and I-70.

Staff insisted (nicely) that I stay in handicap room that was apparently accidentally booked.

This hotel was easy to locate. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The lobby and breakfast areas were attractively decorated. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was much more than just coffee and rolls, and it was attended to by helpful staff. If we were ever in that area again, we would definitely try to stay there.

The staff was friendly and helpful, the breakfast was more than just continental, and the room was very nice.

Everything was more than satisfactory with this hotel.

The Country Inn and Suites Effingham is a short drive from Eastern Illinois University and provides affordable quality accommodation equally suited to the business or leisure traveler. Items included with the room rate are a hot breakfast buffet, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, a morning newspaper, in-room coffee and parking. There is one small meeting room available for business or social functions that can accommodate six guests. Area landmarks and attractions include the Cardinal Golf Course, concerts at the Rosebud Theater, boat rides on Lake Sara, wine tasting at the Cameo Winery, the Ballard Nature Center and shopping at the Village Square Mall.

Several visitors to Effingham said they discovered a great find when they stayed at this Country Inn. The rooms were affordable, spacious, spotlessly clean and had very comfortable beds. The breakfast was far better than many clients expected and the front desk workers were helpful with advice about nearby shops and restaurants. Most clients said they would recommend this hotel to others and would certainly stay him themselves on future visits to the area.
