Hotel was under 24/7 renovation, however noise was kept to a minimum at night. We were in a renovated room, very nice. Restaurant was closed, but management provided free continental breakfast. Fire alarm went off one night due to a power surge with big response from fire dept., but it took over an hour to find the alarm panel and shut the piercing noise off. Very poorly handled by staff. Staff was not helpful or prepared, but alarm company was there all of the following day. Hotel is struggling to stay open while renovating. Our stay was reasonably pleasant and this will be very nice when finished. We were not advised of the renovation when booking, so a seven day stay became a bit tedious, with the accompanying dust, odors from glue and paint, etc.

Location. Hotel under renovation, new beds are great.

We were very happy with our stay. There were 23 of us and we could not have had better service. Everything worked out great!

Hotel is very clean and a short distance to Six Flags and Chicago, so great location. Room was comfortable and clean. Free internet was nice, but paying for breakfast was a major disappointment.

Clean, comfortable bed, nice bathroom.

Continental breakfast was not free, staff not as helpful.

The 131-room Courtyard by Marriott Deerfield is located on Chicago's North Shore and provides quality accommodation at an affordable price for both the business and leisure traveler. The two-story, non-smoking hotel is close to the Chicago Botanic Gardens and Gurnee Mills Mall. Items included with the room rate are high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, a morning newspaper, parking and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. There are two meeting rooms available for business or social functions. The larger can accommodate 40 guests. Area landmarks and attractions include four golf courses, the Six Flags Great America theme park, the Wheeling Aquatic Center, Northbrook Court Mall and downtown Chicago.

This Courtyard gets many good reviews about its low rates and extra clean accommodation and facilities. Former guests said the on-site 24-hour The Market solved the problem of nighttime cravings for ice cream. The employees were complemented on being helpful and friendly and most clients said they would use this hotel on future visits to the Chicago area.
