Loved my first time in Chicago!!!! - posted on 01/20/2006
We absolutely loved going to Chicago in December. The weather was perfect while we were there and the buildings all decorated for Christmas were BEAUTIFUL! I would recommend it to everyone! The outdoor skating rink and the park area were incredible. We ate at spectacular places fit for our average family and didn't go broke!
I would stay again - posted on 09/08/2005
The hotel was very nice. Parking is a little pricey, but the valet guys were very nice and we kept our car parked even after we checked out, without additional charge. The hotel staff was friendly and greeted us each time we entered the hotel and every time we left, a staff member would say, "Have a fun time" or something like that. The room was clean and comfy. The pool area was definitely made for kids (3' deep) and the hot tub was dirty. Would stay again, but not if I wanted to go for a swim or sit in the hot tub.
Anniversary Weekend - posted on 05/10/2007
I must say I was a little disappointed in the hotel, I booked a junior suite but it looked like a regular hotel room to me. The lobby area had a foul odor to it that never went away. The staff were very nice and helpful. I'm not sure I would stay there again however, I think for the money I could find a nicer hotel.

We had a great stay at the hotel. Got to check in early, after a special request, and received great restaurant locations. Plus the room was great, just what we needed.

Deciding on a hotel in Chicago is not an easy task, but we found a jewel. We wanted to be close to shopping on Michigan Ave., we could see it from our room. Good food, we found them each night within easy walking distance. A family-friendly environment, the hotel staff and housekeeping were fantastic. Parking is easy and very affordable compared to others we checked into. Beds were comfortable. Really don't have anything bad to say. Oh yeah, Starbucks is close too.

We visit Chicago every New Years and typically stay in a different hotel each time. We like to take the kids shopping on the Mag. Mile, so location and "kid friendliness" are important. We got both with this hotel. The pool was heated and clean as well as the hot tub. Rooms are spacious, great views of downtown Chicago. Would definately stay here next year!

Hotel is in a good location and fairly nice but I did not know when I made the reservations that the hotel is under construction. The lobby is a mess and the "bar" on the fourth floor is hardly a bar. I understand they are working to improve this. The beds are comfortable, the towels are big and clean, and the staff was generally nice. I would recommend this hotel to someone once construction is done.

The hotel was off of michigan avenue so that you missed the congestion, yet only by a block or two so it was very convienant. Everyone was very nice and helpful and I would definetly stay there again.

These are the best beds and sheets ever. Our room was spacious, clean and quiet. The location was perfect for walking to all the stores and restaurants we wanted to visit. Staff was wonderful especialy when I locked my key in the room. Chicago hotels rooms aer expensive to say the least, but this one was worth the price.
A Good Choice - posted on 08/17/2006
This was a good hotel choice for our trip. The only problem we had is we arrived early and the room was not ready. We went out for a couple of hours of sightseeing and when we returned the manager was able to get us a room. The beds were comfy and clean, the microwave and mini fridge were put to good use and the free bottles of water were great to take on the go. Did not try the fitness center or the pool. The staff was very helpful and Michigan Ave. is just a block away.

Fabulous!!! - posted on 08/10/2006
I was apprehensive when picking my hotel for my trip to Chicago and this place had a couple of negative reviews, but this was great! The room was comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. The fridge and microwave were big selling polints for me - the Whole Foods store was around the corner. Anyone not satisfied with this has unreasonable expectations. It doesn't have a hotel restaurant, but there are so many amazing places in Chicago to eat - it would be sad to eat at your hotel. This hotel has great access to everything. I can't wait to stay here again soon.
Would recommend to anyone. - posted on 08/06/2006
The room was very comfortable and clean. Walls were solid with no city noise or hotel guest noise. Slept great and felt very safe. Microwave and minifridge in room was a huge plus for our family. Unfortunately there was some construction going on in the bottom floor of the building (not hotel related) that woke us up every morning at 8:00 a.m. with jackhammers and concrete drills. Hotel staff was willing to move us, but it was solidly booked. Annoying, but a temporary inconvenience. Would definitely stay here again. Planning another trip in the fall!

We arrived in Chicago to see the Cardinals play the White Sox. The only problem we had was that our room wasn't ready when we arrived and after a few hours of sightseeing we returned and it still wasn't ready but the manager quickly took care of the problem. The room was clean, the beds comfy and the free bottled water was great to take on the go. We made good use of the fridge and microwave and the guest laundry across the hall. We did not use the pool or room service. This hotel is located just a block from Michigan Ave. and most of the downtown sights.
Nice Hotel Especially for Business Travelers - posted on 07/31/2006
Rooms are nice and big. A bit pricey but of course in downtown Chicago what hotel isn't. Screwed up on my reservations. Do nickel & dime you like any fancy hotel. Excellent on-site services for business travelers. Good place to stay if you can get a special rate.

Very clean and spacious rooms. The junior suite has a refrigerator and microwave - both very useful. Bottled water is free unlike at most hotels. Pool and fitness center are very nice. Breakfast is a bit pricey and we had to wait for food trays to be refilled on Sunday.

Location, small size of hotel, nice rooms, and friendly staff made this a wonderful place to experience Chicago for our first time. One block from Mag Mile, lots of restaurants nearby, and not too far from the "L" to take you easily all over this great town. This will be my first choice when we are back!
Great hotel!! - posted on 04/26/2006
I was hesitant to stay at this hotel because of some of the older poor feedback. I am so glad I did, though! The rooms were clean and comfortable ? the microwave and refrigerator were perfect for our fruit (which we purchased at Whole Foods a couple blocks away) and out pizza leftovers (excellent stuffed pizza just down the street). The pool/spa/excercise areas were clean, clean, clean. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The location was perfect - close to everything (Michigan Ave., State Street, grocery, restaurant, subway). I almost want to keep this hotel a secret!
Nice hotel! - posted on 04/26/2006
The staff at this hotel is GREAT. I have never been more impressed with the service. The Jr. Suite was small--just one long room with no dividers. The beds were super comfortable. The pool was great. They should, however, provide a breakfast on par with other hotels.

The staff was very friendly and helped me with directions upon leaving. The kids loved the pool area. I suggest a lower priced breakfast menu for children.

The hotel was very accommodating. We asked for two rooms on the same floor and we got it without any problems. We asked if we could leave our bags at the hotel after checkout while we went shopping and they said "of course" and were very helpful. They also arranged for taxis to take us to the train station after we came back to the hotel from shopping. The pool and hot tub were very nice. I would definitely go there again.

The hotel staff, rooms, facilities were very nice. The only negative comment that I have is the breakfast, the full breakfast was expensive and the other levels are more of a continental breakfast that are usually free in most hotels. We had to wait 10-15 minutes for bacon and sausage for the hot breakfast.
Pleasant stay - posted on 02/09/2006
The Sheraton 4 point was a very pleasant experience. Nice suites that were very clean and quiet. Dining area was not open late enough though and there was no restaurant in hotel, but many in the area.
Great service - posted on 02/06/2006
We visited with 3 children ages 4-8 and when we checked in they upgraded us to a jr suite without even asking. We were very comfortable. The kids loved the pool. Service was terrific. The breakfast was a little pricey considering what other hotels offer as a free hot breakfast.

Bathroom Not Vented Properly - posted on 01/18/2006
Overall location was great, staff was friendly, price was right. Parking was convenient and reasonable - $28/night for self park. The bathroom REALLY needed an exhaust fan. When I was the third person to shower, it was like a sauna in there. And the room we stayed in was called a "Junior Suite" but I would disagree with that designation. It was just a room with a sofa bed, no divider between the sleeping areas.
Great stay! - posted on 01/18/2006
The Four Points Sheraton was a terrific, clean place to stay. The hotel was close to everything. The junior sweet was a great deal! It was ideal for 3 women on a girls trip! The beds were very comfortable. I agree with the other reviews that the staff was very friendly and helpful. We never made it to the workout room or pool, so I can't comment on those. I would definitely stay there again and will recommend to my friends.

Overall, a very nice hotel. Clean, spacious rooms with great beds and brand new appliances (including a small fridge and a microwave). Excellent location, just a few walk from Magnificent Mile and a short drive from Millenium Park and Navy Pier. Parking is available next to the hotel but it's a bit expensive ($36 overnight for valet parking). The staff is very courteous. On the downside, there's no on-site restaurant and no room service, yet there are many good dining places in the area. It was a great experience and I would definitely stay there again.

The hotel rooms were spacious and clean, even with 2 adult/4kids staying in a suite. Pool hours are generous (6am-10pm). Location is great! Near restaurants/Magnificent Mile. Friendly staff. Recently stayed a few blocks away in a different dirty flea bag at twice the price! Never again! I will return to this hotel again and again.

The staff was very friendly, and helpful. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. I was there with 4 of my friends and fit in one room well. The bathroom was a bit on the small side for 5 women, but definitely workable. It was so close to all the shopping and restaurants we visited, so we couldn't have had a better location.
PERFECT! - posted on 09/27/2005
This hotel was a gem. I researched hotels extensively for this trip. After staying at the hotel I felt that I had found an extreme bargain! The bed was very comfortable and the crib they provided for our baby was better than any we had the rest of the trip. It was complete with cozy sheets and a bumper pad. The hotel really is just one block off of Michigan Ave. and it is also really close to shopping on other major streets. Guest Services was incredibly polite - calling a Museum for directions for us, referring to us by name when we left, etc.

This hotel is new. Nice clean large rooms, great bedding and very friendly staff. Bellman was superb. Also very close to everything. I can't figure out why the rates are so good. The parking is high ($36/day valet) but they are finishing construction on a on-site garage September 05, maybe the rates will go up then?. Really for downtown Chicago you can't beat this hotel.

Our stay at this hotel was excellent. The suite was decent-sized, and the bed was surprisingly plush. Even the sofa bed was very comfortable! The hotel was very well-located; easy to find off the highway and in the center of excellent dining and shopping. The staff was very nice to myself and my friends, and everyone was helpful with whatever questions we asked. I would definitely stay at this hotel again!
