The 311-room Conrad Chicago is located on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile, just off Michigan Avenue, and provides luxury accommodation equally suited to the upmarket business or pleasure traveler. The hotel has easy access to The Shops at North Bridge shopping corridor and is adjacent to Nordstrom. The property is within walking distance of Lake Michigan, Millennium Park, Navy Pier, and The Art Institute of Chicago. Also nearby is the Loop, the city's historic business district, the Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium and Adler Planetarium. There are 13 meeting rooms available for business or social functions. The largest, the Magnolia Ballroom, can accommodate 320 guests. The hotel site was originally the McGraw-Hill Building, built in 1929 with exterior features sculpturing by Gwen Lux.

This is a superb hotel, with luxury rooms and incredible service. That is the opinion of most guests who have stayed here. Clients say the excellent facilities warrant the high prices charged. One minor item which pleased many was that Internet access was included in the room rate. Many luxury hotels made an additional charge. From Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) 18 miles: Take I-190 E out of terminal. Follow signs for I-90 East (Kennedy Expressway) to the Ohio Street exit (50B). Ohio Street is a one-way street going east. Continue going east on Ohio. Turn right on Rush Street and pass Grand Avenue. The hotel entrance is one-and-a-half blocks down on the left, between Grand Avenue and Illinois Street.
