Great Hotel - posted on 04/19/2007

Although this hotel is old, it is very well maintained & decorated. We got a free upgrade from our King room to a Suite. Very nice! Bathroom was really small, but clean and cute. Mattress could have been better, but have slept on worse. Great location, close to lots of shopping and restaurants. In the really nice and historic Lincoln Park area. No eggs or bacon on breakfast buffet, but plenty of everything else to satisfy. Definetely will stay here again!

Good Hotel - posted on 03/22/2007

I would definitely recommand this place to others. It was very clean and the staff was very helpful. I would most likely stay here again, especially since it's one of the more affordable and nearest hotels near Wrigley Field...Like I said the price was more resonable than the downtown hotels!

Wrigley Field Stay - posted on 10/02/2006

Hotel provided two rooms at same price, when confirmed room had maintenance problems -- all without us having to ask!! 4/5 front desk staff great, other one kind or surly. Would absolutely stay in again!

Enjoyed My Stay! - posted on 09/12/2006

I have had mixed experiences with other Days Inn locations in the past. So it was a pleasant surprise to find one that was not only clean, but the staff friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The hotel is within walking distance of the train system, so you can be in downtown Chicago fairly quickly. Perfect for baseball fans heading to Wrigley, which is within walking distance. Overall Good Experience!

Do Not Stay Here - posted on 08/02/2006

I don't know why anyone gives this place a good review. The staff there are self-centered and rude, the rooms were unclean there were spots on the bed.

Great Stay - posted on 07/10/2006

Enjoyed a 2-night stay. Helpful, friendly staff and valet; clean, cheery bathroom; plenty of room - even with 2 queen beds. Slow elevator, so we used the stairs - no problem, even to the 4th floor (although a tight squeeze with luggage or when meeting people). Great location - felt very safe. Took the "L" or walked the whole visit. Recommended . . . would definitely stay again!

Would stay there again - posted on 07/01/2006

We ended up staying 2 nites instead of 1 but had to have 2 different rooms due to deciding at the last minute we were staying. The first room was nice & big. Had 2 beds. Small bathroom, but very clean. 2nd nite had to take 1 bed smoking room (all they had). It was clean but smelled very smoky. Small bathroom but a bit more updated thant the first room. Staff was very helpful & nice. Good free breakfast. Near the brown line CTA train.

would come again - posted on 05/03/2006

I was pleasantly surprised when I stayed here. The room was very clean (the bathroom was spotless). It was much larger than I expected and the staff was friendly. The neighborhood is very nice...plenty of stores, places to eat, etc. For this price, I would definitely stay here again.

STAY IN A DIFFERENT HOTEL - posted on 03/22/2006

this hotel was awful. the service was horrendous, the front desk was very unhelpful and rude. the rooms were hot, some deadbolts are disabled from doors, the doors can be broken down. It's not a queen bed, it's a double bed. small disgusting hotel and rooms. don't stay here

Great find! - posted on 02/08/2006

I had a great stay at Days Inn. The front desk employees were friendly, the price was right, location was great - only a few blocks from a 151 bus stop, parking in a nearby ramp was only $15 for 24 hours! The surprise bonus was a free continental breakfast - muffins, waffles, cereal, and so on. The only possible negative - the room was on the small side. I will be staying here on future trips to Chicago.

Our favorite place in Chicago - posted on 12/31/2005

We have stayed here multiple times and have enjoyed it every time. We will continue to stay here whenever we are in Chicago. It is not the Ritz, etc., in terms of amenities, but it's clean, it's inexpensive, and the rooms are a decent size. The front desk personnel are also great and accomodating. Location is the biggest reason we stay here.

I had a great time staying at this hotel. Service was great, and the heaters worked in 10 degree weather. Great rooms for the price. Little mix up when we first got there, but the hotel fixed the problem fast and in a well professional manner. I will tell anyone if you are staying in Chicago stay at this Hotel.

Great price for a nice room - posted on 09/20/2005

We were in town for Cubs games, which Wrigley is only about a 15 minute walk away. The room was a little small, but still comfortable. The staff was very friendly and gave us directions to different attractions, which are mostly only a short walk or bus ride away. Will definitely stay there again next time we are in town for a visit

Wonderful - posted on 05/17/2005

This Hotel was great!! We stayed in town the first 2 nights and paid $X/ni for a small room poor access. We loved the location being Cubs fans we walked to the game and enjoyed all the shops and resturants and pubs. We were able to take the train to down down with ease. We did not have to take a taxi once. We went from Grant Park to Wrigley Field all on the train for $1.70/day! Our room was very large, staff was great.

Get what you pay for - posted on 10/21/2004

The best feature of this hotel is the price. The pillows and bed are uncomfortable, the rooms are absolutely tiny, and the temperature cannot be controlled (excessive heat). If you are looking for somewhere inexpensive to rest your head and you don't care about anything else, this hotel will do. Just be sure and bring your own pillow.
