Customer Reviews for Renaissance Chicago Hotel

Chicago's Best - posted on 01/05/2006

Spent 6 days, 5 nights at this great hotel. Service was prompt and courteous by all staff I encountered. Fitness center, pool and spa facilities clean and well staffed. Breakfast buffet a must!! Large variety of hot entrees and lots of fresh fruit. Location right on the river and a short walk to theatre district and Mich. Ave. Great place, I'll be back there again!!

Nice room - posted on 03/06/2007

The room's are nice, living room, kitchen, bedroom. TV too small in bedroom. Bathroom: a tub shower in long hallway of a bathroom, very small area for applying makeup, heating curling iron, etc. Was ok for 1 night stay.

Great location, great hotel - posted on 11/02/2006

Great everything. Close to Starbucks, corner bakery, convenient stores. The hotel serves Starbucks coffee and leaves a free bottle of water everyday which was nice. The only complaint is that I asked our room service to bring coffee, she brought it after two hours. Other than that, everything was great.

Good deal - posted on 09/21/2006

I checked out several hotels in the area & north Michigan Ave. and concluded it certainly was the best deal for the money in the area. The El was a little noisy with the window open & I don't think the buffet breakfast was anything special. The service was particularly good.

lovely place to stay - posted on 07/25/2006

We enjoyed our stay there. We did not know that the wine etc. on the tray in the room were free(?). We appreciated being able to walk to the theater and the restaurant. I think we could have walked to one of the museums.

Location is the only asset - posted on 10/19/2004

I was singularly unimpressed with this hotel. I have stayed at others in the area (Swissotel, Hyatt) and always got great rooms. I got a 5th floor room with a view of the yard. Services weren't working (for example no internet). For the money I gave, I wouldn't choose it again. Try others in the area
