Great hotel. Well kept. Super service that took care of our every need. We have been here 3 times for multiple nights and we will definitely stay here the next time we are in town.

Nice rooms and great beds. The staff were very friendly. We liked the hotel restaurant - good food & ambience, but bar was very smoky. Workout room well stocked with cario machines (for a hotel). The only drawback is that the cost -

nice hotel but our room was right next to the elevator, so it was pretty loud all night.
First Class Service in The Second City - posted on 07/19/2006
Service was exceptional! One night I blew out a fuse getting ready for the theatre and they were up to my room in less than five minutes to fix the problem. In addition, I forgot to pack deoderant and the concierge provided me with some in less than five minutes as well.

The Westin was a modern hotel with clean, tasteful and friendly lobby and comfortable rooms. Very quiet. Service was efficient, except for conciege service - couldn't find him or her or the number for the service in the room. I would stay there again.
Nice Hotel - posted on 06/30/2006
We thought it was a very nice hotel with an excellent location and got a great value. $41 per day parking was high but normal for the area. The room was really nice and access to the sites and shopping was excellent. We would definitely book at this location again.
Overrated! - posted on 05/09/2006
This hotel is not family-friendly. This is as stated by the concierge when trying to obtain some help with our baby daughter. He especifically told us to look for another place to stay that would accomodate a baby girl. The sofa-bed was broken, we were unable to use. We were asked to move to another room that would have a working unit at 1AM!!!! with our babe and all!. The staff was unfriendly and not service oriented. This hotel is overrated and the only good thing about it is its location.
Not what I expected - posted on 05/08/2006
The westin is a clean and comfortable hotel with an excellent location, BUT the rooms are extrememly small, the bathrooms are not as heavenly as they say, and it is overpriced. I wouldn't pay to stay here again.

First, this is a converted old Days Inn. They added carpet, pulsating music and typical W trendy decor, not much else. I have stayed in many nice Mag Mile hotels and this is disappointing. You will be depressed after the 2nd night. Staff is friendly.
Our Stay at the Weston - posted on 02/02/2006
We very much enjoyed our two nights at the Weston in Chicago. Our only complaint was that the room was too small and overheated. There was no way to cool it off. We even turned off the thermostat!

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Staff was very courteous, rooms were nice and clean, the location was wonderful, and the bar and restaurant were also great. I would definitely stay here again.

I attended for a conference. I had some difficulty understanding the accent of the reservation person over the phone. When I arrived they didn't have my credit card information from my company and the woman at the desk gave me a little hassle. A supervisor quickly came over and resolved the problem. The rest of the stay was great. The workout facilities are decent. The hotel is close to many tourist activites.
Very disappointed - posted on 06/16/2005
When we booked we were told there was a pool. Also, we had booked for 4 people and the room had to be prepared when we arrived (no problem we were early) but, they gave us towels for 2.... nice. The girl who handled our initial registration treated somewhat rudely. We had stayed at your other Chicago location on our last trip and were treated like queens, whats the big difference?

Attended a medical conference. Staff was excellent. Location excellent. Food very good. Renovations ongoing (such as health club, room signs), but not an inconvenience. Rooms somewhat small and lobby needs updating, but was pleased overall and would recommend.
Disappointment in Chicago - posted on 01/13/2005
We were very unhappy with the service. First we had to wait 45 min. to 1 hr, for a room. Then they put us in another room but the room had only had 1 bed and the phones did not work, so we had to come back down and finally a double bed room became available. We ate breakfast one morning and the service was terrible and the food was not that great. I am very disappointed on my first trip to Chicago. You have a beautiful city though.

I only stayed one night but it was very comfortable, excellent location for shopping or on the bus routes to museums, etc. Hotel is located next door to John Hancock building with excellent observation floor (94th floor!) One can view IL, WI, IN and MI locations from the observation floor.) Hotel staff very considerate and available when called. I did not eat at the hotel. Check-in and out was quick.
