W Chicago Lakeshore, lending itself to the views of the Lake Michigan, is a 30-minute drive from O’Hare International Airport. The hotel, adjacent to the beach, is within easy walking distance of John Hancock Observatory, Michigan Avenue / The Magnificent Mile, Nordstrom, Navy Pier and the Lake Michigan. The corporate offices of DDB Corporation, Prudential, Deloitte & Touche, General Electric, True North Communications and American Bar Association are within a half kilometer radius of the property. Whatever/Whenever desk remains open round the clock for the convenience of the guests. Wireless high-speed Internet is complimentary.

This pet friendly hotel provides stay, recreation and business facilities. Many guests were impressed with this hip property. They appreciated iPod interface, roomy accommodations, amenities, helpful polite staff, restaurant food, location and views of the lake. However, some visitors griped about ignored customer preferences, poor customer service, noise, small bathrooms, bad room layout, dirty chairs in lobby, stained linen, worn out cheap furnishings and expensive room service. Each guest room has down pillows and a featherbed for deep and restful sleep; 32-inch LCD flat screen television for entertainment; oversized desk for business documents and diaries; and two dual line phones for walking-and-talking.
