Idaho played an important role to the first pioneers. The Oregon Trail was a wagon trail that spanned over 2,000 miles. Although the installation of the first train rails ended its use it stands today as a fantastic reminder of the founding families. For all you skiers and boarders, you’ll be happy to know that Idaho has some of the very best trails out there. The more adventurous will want to make use of the heli-skiing at Sun Valley’s Bald Mountain. There are of course tamer trails for those not interested in being left at a top a mountain... with no chairlifts in sight.
