Idaho is filled with beautiful landscapes. The winding Snake River, the Shoshone Falls and the many lakes all help promote Idaho as a great place to explore. Idaho played an important role to the first pioneers. The Oregon Trail was a wagon trail that spanned over 2,000 miles. Although the installation of the first train rails ended its use it stands today as a fantastic reminder of the founding families. Idaho has a great mix of cultures and thus, you have a lot of amazing dining options, art galleries and museums that showcase the different heritages.
Golfers love coming to Idaho. The courses are beautiful and challenging. After a long, hard day you can relax in the steaming hot springs. The rivers are ideal for fishing. Anglers from near and far make the trek to try their skills in catching the trout, bass, kokanee and yellow perch. Idaho also has its fair share of beautiful lakes and beaches. For all you skiers and boarders, you’ll be happy to know that Idaho has some of the very best trails out there. The more adventurous will want to make use of the heli-skiing at Sun Valley’s Bald Mountain. There are of course tamer trails for those not interested in being left at a top a mountain... with no chairlifts in sight.
You might be surprised to find that Idaho produces amazing wine. After a lovely day filled with outdoor adventures, exploring museums and enjoying the fine dining, pour yourself a glass and enjoy.
