This is a nice resort, although not extravagant, for the price we paid. It's an excellent location on the beach, with a sidewalk along the beach that starts at the Sheraton and goes south along Kaanapali beach past other hotels, resorts, shops and restaurants. The pool area is beautiful, with lava rocks along the edge, waterfalls and bridges. There are also two pool side bars/ restaurants. Part of the pool was closed while we were there, so the Sheraton gave us a day pass to go to the pool at the Westin Maui, just down the beach. The pool there is awesome, with even bigger waterfalls and a giant tunnel (behind the waterfalls). But you'll also pay a lot more to stay at the Westin, so you get what you pay for. We would definitely recommend the Sheraton Maui and plan on going there again.

Do you want to spend a wonderful vacation in Hawaii? If you are going to Maui, the Sheraton Maui Resort is the resort hotel to be. Situated in a premiere location, this dream accommodation is best for those who want a romantic getaway. The palm-studded hotel sits on a rock, the height adding to the buildings beauty. Rooms at the Sheraton Maui Resort have astonishing views of the sea and the sand making it a much loved location in Kaanapali Beach. The resort and spa also hosts weddings and other special occasions.

The resort hotel was built in the early 60s. The outdoor pool facing the ocean is one of the most inviting spots inside the property. The beach is just a few meters away but for those who do not want to soak up the sun just yet can just play tennis at the hotels outdoor tennis court, or maybe get a massage at the hotel spa.
