Awesome get-away - posted on 05/11/2007

Exceptional facility. Very good dining at better than expected prices. Convenient shopping just a few miles away. Parking awfully steep and Internet access expensive.

Great Place for all - posted on 04/21/2007

This resort was outstanding in all respects, the rooms were great. The pool is nice but small, the beach cove is outstanding we saw green sea turtles our very first day there. The service left us wanting for nothing, everyone really and truelly wanted us to enjoy our stay and their demeaner was always so friendly and helpful. Make sure you have a car as the resort is remote and driving is a must. Surfing at the north shore with Sunset Surratt surf school was our highlight look them up on the net or give them a call.

Family friendly, worth EVERY penny - posted on 04/16/2007

My wife, and 3 daughters stayed here last Sept. In one word...fan-TASTIC. Try the fish sandwich at the poolside cafe and their Ihilani iced tea (has honey) AWESOME. We swam with a turtle right in the lagoon. Upgraded right away since they had a better room available...very sweet people. 20 minutes from downtown...very secure. Not too isolated. Get "Oauhu's Secrets Revealed" book and read it before your go.

Great - posted on 12/25/2006

Very nice place out of hustle and bustle of downtown. The valets were great with directions and ideas. The parking fee is insane, I mean, after spending all the money to stay at a nice resort..come on! Plus, charging 8 dollars for range balls when I just paid 130 for golf...petty stuff. Besides that...great

The hotel has a very helpful and knowledgeable staff which made my first trip to Hawaii such a big success. The beach is gorgeous and not crowded at all (unlike the Waikiki Beaches), and the room was beautiful, a perfect resting place at the end of a busy day.

Loved This Resort! - posted on 08/13/2006

Despite some front desk issues, our stay at this resort was fantastic! The views are breathtakingly beautiful (lagoons as far as the eye could see) and the surroundings are unforgettable. Casually elegant public areas, top notch customer service, great food, well-appointed rooms with comfortable beds, helpful Concierge service...even a terrific gift shop! The beach was quiet and relaxing and the shark, fish and stingray pools were interesting and fun! We loved it so much - we plan to return soon!

Definitely going back to this BEAUTIFUL resort!!! - posted on 06/14/2006

I chose this resort because I had a lot of mileage points accumulated. When I got there it was a huge WOW. I couldn't believe how beautiful this place was. It is secluded and private. It has a private lagoon and spa. There is a golf course across the way. You can walk along the waters and the whole place is JW's. We had a blast. Definitely rent a car and explore the island. I love HAWAII! Will definitely go back. LOVE IT.

Great trip - posted on 04/16/2006

We had a wonderful time here. We had a great time at the beach. The pool was a bit crowded for us but if you go early and don't stay to long you can enjoy some time there. We had two active boys and they loved the beach. Bring some sand toys or you can buy at a local kmart cheap. Rent a car, it is worth every penny so you can do your own thing.

Just What We Dreamed Hawaii Would Be ! - posted on 04/10/2006

We stayed for our 30th wedding anniversary, and our first trip to Hawaii. Everything was perfect: great food, quiet beach, relaxing atmosphere, helpful concierge for booking other activities, quick valet service, fun extra activities every day. With a car you can visit the crowds, and come back to complete quiet, falling asleep to the ocean rhythms outside your room !

Jaw-dropping gorgeous!!! - posted on 03/21/2006

My daughter and I stayed for 5 nights. We were treated like royalty, and by the end of our stay we almost thought of ourselves as such. This place knocks itself out to make the guests feel comfortable and pampered. We spent much time on the ocean view lanai, and we both totally felt a million miles away from our real-world troubles. It was a soul cleansing experience.

Quiet and Beautiful - posted on 03/15/2006

This hotel is awesome. There are 4 lagoons with white sandy beaches. You can go snorkeling or just relax on the beach. Quiet and beautiful--just what I expected for my Hawaiian vacation.

Perfect honeymoon location!! - posted on 10/13/2005

The JW Marriott was gorgeous inside and out. The service was great and the views were spectacular. The private lagoon/beach was perfect for relaxing all day and the conceirge was very helpful in booking activities. A gorgeous hotel with alll the amenities. Room service was pricey but everything else was perfect for our honeymoon. The kids in the pool were loud too but we just went down to the beach and we couldn't hear them.

Great time. - posted on 07/07/2005

This is a lovely place. If you visit the rest of Oahu, you will know that it is overcrowded and congested. The Ihilani is removed from all of that. It is on the dry side of the island. Beautiful weather and water, Beautiful hotel.

Absolute Bliss!! - posted on 03/10/2005

The food was a bit pricey, but it is that way everywhere in Hawaii! I thought their food was excellent. We still talk about it! Could not have asked for better overall service. We appreciated the distance from the "city" beaches, etc. Much more peaceful that way! What a lovely and memorable place for our honeymoon! We are already making plans to return and will never stay anywhere but here at Ihilani!
