It is my favorite Oahu resort and I will stay again. Its remote location offers respite from Waikiki hustle, and it capitalizes on natural beauty of the area. I do hope that area does not become over built in future, will turn into another Waikiki, and so similarly undesirable.

Quality of staff was outstanding: helpful, courteous,thoughtful, room, view, room service and restaurant food were superlative.

Possibly availability of seating around pool on weekends when locals enjoy facilities.

Location is ideal, away from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu-Waikiki. Beautiful surroundings, the lagoon was right outside my window. A good walking path around the hotel property.

The elevator was not working all weekend and I had to go through halls and service elevator to get in and out of the hotel, There were people making loud noise right below my window 2 nights and children screaming in the morning.

The reception area was nice.

I had to pay $29 to park a day.

The Marriott Ihilani Resort and Spa is 27 miles west of Waikiki and a 30-minute drive from Honolulu International Airport. Ililani which means "heavenly splendor" is the perfect way to describe this hotel that is nestled in a serene location between the Pacific Ocean and the first of four man-made beach lagoons. Guests to the hotel will be enchanted by the sandy white beaches. For those that want to be pampered the Ihilani Spa offers Roman pools, Swiss showers, Vichy showers and a variety of massages. Personal training and nail and hair therapy sessions are also available. Golf enthusiasts will enjoy the experience of walking outside the hotel and along the ocean's edge to one of Hawaii's most highly ranked golf courses. The golf academy has a variety of clinics clinics and lessons for all playing abilities. Families will enjoy the Ihilani's children's program offering year-round outdoor adventures and learning activities for toddlers and teens.

Guests have loved their stay at this resort hotel. The rooms are all large are well taken care of. With most rooms facing the ocean or overlooking the lagoon, waking up to paradise is easy. Guests with families loved the lagoon, the water is protected and has some fish and sea life which makes the experience all the more enjoyable. The hotel has a fantastic spa. While this is a personal choice guests either loved being away from evertyhing or did not like the distance. Given that the hotel is secluded, a car is necessary. Guests thought the restaurants had great food. However you must pay for all services in the hotel which begins to add up. Overall guests loved their time here.
