Carpet badly stained everywhere; dirty Salvation Army furniture throughout; decent bed; half a block to Waikiki beach and across the street from Kapiolani Park; would not stay here again

We waited 10 mins for someone to come to the front to check us in. The bed had stains on it the windows didn't shut, a garbage truck came by @ 5:30 am. When we asked to change rooms we were told they are all the same. Waikik Grand two thumbs down.

This hotel sounded good, but turned out disappointing. The front desk people weren't very friendly. The room lookef newly renovated, but was put together poorly- everything fell apart as soon as I touched it. The bed was on wheels, the clothing rack fell on my head when I went to hang a shirt, shower curtain was filthy.

There were some cockroaches running around the room, so I checked out the night after and moved to another hotel. It really sucked. The room itself wasn't bad, but there were so many cockroaches, even tiny baby ones.

If youre going to Hawaii to sit in the Hotel, then I would not recommend this for you. If you like to go to the beach, shop and dance then this is the perfect spot. All of the above is within walking distance. Im already planning my next trip back.

When we got there, we said "not bad" but then we noticed the puddle of water on the floor. I had it cleaned up but the next day I noticed it again. This time it was under the bed. No one at the counter late night. Security guards had to give us our keys. Parking is really bad. Furniture is also old.

When we first checked in to the hotel we were impressed with the location and lobby. It is right acroos the street from the Zoo and 100 yards from the sands of the beach. It is around the corner from the downtown strip, restraunts and shopping. The rooms are a little older, they needed some paint, but the service was good. Its not the Ritz or Hilton, but better than a Motel 6. We did use or little kitchenette a lot, saved us a ton of money by preparing our own breakfast in the mornings!
Not a bad place to crash for the night - posted on 06/19/2006
For the money you're not going to beat this hotel. If you're looking for all the "extras" its not for you but if all you need is a place close to the beach to sleep at night this works fine. Underground parking is a plus, too - though tight.

This hotel was great. It is condo style, quiet and the staff was very friendly. It also has a great location. Across the street from the beach, Great Deal!

For the price, this is an ok hotel to stay at. The front desk is friendly but extremely slow. Can't beat the location! The condo/room we had was great.

Besides being old and in disrepair - this place caters to adults. Don't stay here with kids.
