A Wonderful Time - posted on 05/08/2007

The hotel was wonderful... I would stay again when I go back. The dining was a little over priced but the food was very good. I came here to help heal from the loss of my husband and the staff was wonderful. Hopefully someday I will have enough money to travel again in better times.

Best First Experience - posted on 04/17/2007

This was our first trip to Hawaii and this hotel was more than we imagined! This is a great place to have the seclusion and senerity of Hawaii, but be within minutes of shopping and nightlife...

Great vacation - posted on 04/07/2007

The hotel is very comfortable, luxurious even. The room was large and well furnished. The other facilities (gym, pool, restaurants) were excellent. It is located away from shopping and public transportation, so you may want to consider renting a car.

Words can not even explain how wounderful my trip was. The staff is what really makes the hotel what it is. At check the staff greets you by name and they are really good at remembering names and faces. Everything was just amazing the location the beach the food and just overall it was unbelievable.

our favorite family getaway - posted on 10/04/2006

My family vacations in Hawaii every year just to stay at Kahala Mandarin. Our two teen aged daughters love Kahala for great beach, food, service and cute pool boys. They also had several celebrity sightings during our stay. We have traveled the world but we are always making plans to come back to Hawaii to stay at Kahala hotel. The staff is absolutely wonderful and it's definitely a place to relax and enjoy family time away from hectic life back home.

The only hotel to stay at on Oahu - posted on 01/26/2006

We were fortunate enough to be there the week before Xmas. It was quiet, peaceful, serene. There were great sunrises and sunsets; wonderful food; great music wafting through the lobby. The service was excellent at the pool; the beach; the bars; the restaurant; at check-in. We stayed in a dolphin lagoon room and it was a magical setting. The kids loved it; we loved it. Get out of Honolulu and head here for a real vacation.

The BEST - posted on 11/17/2005

I have traveled the world. The hotel staff provided the best service I have ever experienced. The food was fantastic. The beach sunrises and sunsets were breathtaking and the beach was clean. I highly recommend this hotel and the 12 of us (my family) will return each year.

The Glory Days Are Long Gone - posted on 09/05/2005

What a disapointment. My wife and I had reserved a king-size bed...but were told at check that there were no kings available. So we were given two double beds. My wife had wanted a spa treatment, but was told that every appointment was taken.

WHY 5 stars??? - posted on 05/13/2005

I took my family for a week to the Kahala Mandarin because of its 5 stars rating. Wanted to leave the day we arrived. We did leave, after 2 nights. The manager was fantastic, but even she admitted the place needs renos. My room looked as frumpy as the huge lobby looked dowdy.

Top Notch Service - posted on 04/21/2005

My husband and I got married here and we continue to come back eash year. No wonder the "Stars" choose to stay at this hotel the service was awesome and the Ocean view rooms are the best! If you are on a budget this is not the hotel to stay at.... after all you are on vacation and deserve the best!

Disappointed - posted on 02/24/2005

The room had sand on the floors and mosquitoes (killed about 20 the first night). On our last day, the valet lost the car keys and it took almost 2 hours for the problem to be resolved. Will not be staying there ever again.

My Husband and I were here for Memorial eekend and it was the best. The canaopy beds are the best in the world and I have done some traveling. The views are incredible and the food(although costly) simple the best. we are going back next year!

disappointed - posted on 01/13/2005

I also was disappointed at my stay at this hotel. Booked for 3 nights and after my 1st night wanted to leave to go to a previous hotel that was much more luxurious and cost less, however they stated that they would charge my credit card the entire 3 night stay and there was no way around it !!!! I even spoke with the manager !!! BEWARE !! So we felt stuck... Very poor service and rooms are nothing to write home about.
