I rate this hotel highly. It's immaculate, has great updated rooms with flat screen TVs, terrific beds and wonderful shops and restaurants. The Valet service was awesome too. It also has the most central location on Waikiki beach. You do have to cross the street to get to the sand and water, but there is nothing to obscure your view, other than the big ol' Banyan tree!
I loved the friendly and helpful staff. The Housekeeping staff was topnotch!
Our room, while really nice, had some space between the door jamb and the door, letting in lots of ambient noise and light.

Hotel is nice and staff is good. First day was very disruptive as I had to change rooms because their wireless internet in my room was weak and there was no wired connection. I was already unpacked, this was very disruptive.
Friendly, professional staff.
Wireless internet, $10/day and didn't work.

Does HotelsByCity recommend this hotel?
Frequent visitors to Honolulu say this is the best place to stay. The ocean views from the property and excellent facilities are well worth the money. Those who have stayed in hotels a few blocks back from the beach say the savings are not worth it. The Hyatt is steps away from the beach and there is shopping at the resort and nearby. The hotel gets good comments from older couples, honeymooners and families. Previous guests here say there is always something going on at the resort to keep you entertained. Rooms with ocean views do cost more, but many said it was well worth paying the extra money.
