Nice hotel. Good location. Only problem was having to pay extra just to park your car at the hotel.

Its a great place to stay but bring your walking shoes.

The valet parking guys where great giving directions the inside where to eat.

Was not right where all the action is in savannah.

It is a good hotel to spend a couple nights at; it's in easy walking distance of many excellent bars, restaurants, and tourist destinations. It is also very close to scad's largest block of dorms, which makes it a great place to stay when visiting students. I do have to say that with all these great venues surrounding the hotel, there's not much about the hotel itself that encourages you to spend your time there. The rooms are nice and comfortable, and clean -enough-, but overall it feels like it's just a place where you can crash after you've been everywhere else. I don't know how well it would do as a romantic getaway.

Great location, easy walking distance from key hot-spots.

The room could have been cleaner, and the parking cheaper.

The 147-room Courtyard by Marriott Savannah Historic District is the starting point for tours of this Georgia city. The Savannah Welcome Center, Civic Center and Tour Trolleys are located across the street from this five-story hotel. The non-smoking property caters mainly to the leisure traveler but has facilities to suit the business traveler. There are three meeting rooms for social or business functions. Items included with the room rate are high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, a morning newspaper and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. The historic attractions of the old city, including River Street, the City Market and the Savannah History Museum are within walking distance of the hotel

This is an ideal place to stay if you want to explore the historic area of Savannah and be close to the civic center. Those who have stayed here say the accommodation is clean, comfortable and affordable. There are hotels that are more expensive closer to the river, but Courtyard supporters say this is better with a crew of employees that understand the words southern hospitality. Many clients say they will return to this hotel on future visits to Savannah and have no hesitation in recommending the property to others.
