The 95 all suites TownePlace Suites by Marriott Savannah Abercorn provides spacious accommodation at a reasonable price for both families on vacation and the business traveler. The pet-friendly, non-smoking property has three different floor plans featuring separate living and sleeping areas and a fully equipped kitchen. Items included with the room rate are high-speed Internet access, parking, local telephone calls and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. It is a short drive to Savannah’s historic downtown area and shopping at the Oglethorpe Mall, Savannah Mall; Tybee Island and Georgia’s Atlantic Ocean beaches. The three-story property is close to two golf courses; the Savannah Harley Museum and the Telfair Museum of Arts.

Those who stayed at this Marriott property said it offered tremendous value for money. There were good comments about spacious, comfortable accommodation and a good crew of employees who were both friendly and efficient. Be warned this is not the closest hotel to Savannah’s historic district. Similar accommodation will cost more the closer you get to the riverfront area. Many said it was worth the short drive to get the economical rates available here. Many say they will use this property on future visits to the area and will recommend it to their family and friends. All the suites have a fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, conventional and microwave oven, dishwasher, stove, toaster, toaster oven and silverware and dishes. Other features are a work desk with high-speed Internet access, two-line telephone with voicemail, cable television with news and movie channels, pullout sofa bed, alarm clock, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board and a hairdryer.

This hotel has an outdoor swimming pool. The Powerhouse Gym and The Fitness Club are half a mile from the property. The property is within walking distance close of several restaurants including Applebees, an Olive Garden, Logan’s Roadhouse and an Outback Steakhouse. The 24-hour front desk has safe deposit boxes and information on area events and attractions. Other amenities include a coin-operated laundry, fax and copy services, valet-dry cleaning, vending machines and a picnic area with barbecue grill.
