Our housekeeper spoke very little English but was eager to please (and honest). She pointed at items to make sure that is what we wanted. My mom left pearl earrings on desk when we went out and they were still there when we returned after room was cleaned. Restaurant food was fair but view of river was nice. If have handicap parking tag make sure to mention it - parking is less expensive.

The spa at the facility was excellent.

Parking prices excessive.

Awesome service and food. The best king size bed in town. Everything was clean. But the parking prices are kind of ridiculous.

The king size bed. I choose this hotel because of it. So comfortable.

I really enjoyed my weekend at the Marriott Savannah Riverfront. I will not return to this hotel. The reason is the cost. After paying well over 200/night, I expect to be able use high speed internet and park my car for free. Where I normally lodge in Savannah (La Quinta) I pay around 80/night and get free internet, parking as well as free continental breakfast. To have the same experience at the Marriott, It ends up costing 300+ a night.

Very convenient to River St. in Savannah.

High-speed internet 9.99 extra. Parking 15/day extra.

The 341-room Marriott Savannah Riverfront is a full-service hotel catering to the upmarket leisure and business traveler. The eight-story, non-smoking property is connected to the citys famous River Street via the Riverwalk. River Street has 68 specialty shops, taverns, and restaurants. The historic attractions of the old city, including the City Market, the Savannah History Museum, art galleries and antique shops are within walking distance of the hotel. Away from the historic area, the attractions and landmarks include numerous golf courses, the Tybee Island Lighthouse, the Savannah Shopping Mall, and the Bonaventure Cemetery. The hotel has 18 meeting room for business or social functions. The largest can accommodate 1,500 guests.

Most guests adore this grand hotel in a great location on the riverfront. The service is superb, the public areas and accommodation is spacious. However, recent visitors say it is time the rooms were refurbished. The olde tyme fixtures need to be upgraded into the twenty first century. Those who come here often say they are expecting to see some upgrading on their next visit. Despite the problem, most clients say they will stay here again and recommend it to others. And the reason? Location, location, location.
