Good hotel - good manager. Located in the historic district, this hotel puts you within walking distance of almost all the attractions in Savannah.

Location was great.

First receptionist I talked to would not give me a king sized bed - even though it was available.

This hotel has alot going for it. It sits in the heart of the historic district and right across from the waterfront. You can walk to numerous pubs and restaurants and the staff was very friendly. There was nothing impressive about the rooms but they were clean and well maintained. The only thing I had a problem with was the parking situation and the fact that you had to pay $8 a day to park your car.

Aside from the motors of the coke machine and the pool refilling outside our window in the early AM, the hotel was very well located for especially my husband who is unable to walk well. We were able to go to the river shops as well as the shops within walking distance behind the hotel. Another room would have made it perfect. But on the other hand, the first floor was ideal for my husband (less walking). The breakfast was very nice. Waffles were the best.

Our room was next to pool. The coke machine was noisy next to our window & in the early AM the pool motors refilled the pool next our window.

The Inn at Ellis Square is housed in a building that dates back to 1851. After undergoing renovations it stands today as a good option for guests staying in Savannah and is part of the Days Inn hotel chain. Take a short walk and youre at River Street, which is filled with quaint boutiques, restaurants and art galleries. River Street is also a great place to watch the boats come and go.

Its location makes it easy for you to discover the town, much of which can be reached by foot. There were some hit and misses with the staffs helpfulness as well as the water temperature when taking a shower. Overall though patrons enjoyed their stay and the fact that they could see so much without wasting a lot of time getting to and from the sites.
